your ol man has a bladder infection. that’s why his dick smell. he might be getting it from you. (not a joke) sometimes it is passed from man to woman or vice versa.
It also happens if a guy has sex with a dirty female, or if he never washes his dick. (he may be cheating)
Okay…so this answer comes from a person with a nursing degree… If you take the word(s) Bacterial Vaginitis apart….you’ll get your answer… Bacterial, of course means Bacteria…and Vaginitis means: inflammation of the vagina. Put them together and you get Inflammation of the Vagina caused by a bacteria. The bacteria can come from any NUMBER of different things, it could be as simple as wiping from back to front instead of from front to back….or it could be from having sex…unless you are running your partner’s penis through a sterilization process….you could probably bet that it came from either his penis…or maybe even from his semen. If you’re NOT sexually active…it could have come from a tampon, wiping, gosh…the possibilities are endless…but as your GYN probably told you, this is a VERY common condition…it’s not a "STD"…it’s not something to be worried about…but you want to treat it before it has a chance to travel up and become PID…which is PELVIC inflammatory disease…much more painful…and could actually cause infertility if not treated!
Good luck and make sure to take ALL of your antibiotics!
If your pap smear came back negative I would ask your doctor about causes other than Bacterial vaginitis. B.v. is generally caused by bacteria not normally found in the genital / urinary tract and can be caused by sexual activity. However, since your pap came back negative I doubt this is the culprit. Again, I would talk to your doctor. You don’t want to take chances with your pregnancy.
