By chance I ‘discovered’ that Tea Tree oil is a miracle antiseptic and anti-fungal substance. It works very well against fungi and related (skin) problems. Also head lice will disappear.
On the web you will find examples of tropical fungi and certain skin conditions that could not be treated with regular medicines but seem to have been treated succesfully with Tea Tree oil. There is scientific evidence that Tea Tree oil works.
It is cheap, safe to use (try first on your skin for reactions), even safe for children.
The Australian brand Thursday Plantation (www.thursdayplantation.com) has dedicated products for vaginal infections. On the web you also will find homemade treatments consisting of a few drops of the oil.

1st. line drug is metronidazole (2g); alternative is oral clindamycin….and before I forget….it does not mean anything who you are sleeping with….bc bacterial vaginosis is not an STD!!!!!
Without knowing what treatment you have been told about it is hrd to answer this question. I have had this condition a few times and have treated it with an RX from my doctor for this gel that you put inside your vagina to treat. There are also pills you can take. I don’t believe there is an "alternative treatment" if you mean natural herbs or something. It is a bacteria…it needs antibiotics to make it go away.

The Turks put BLACK PEPPER on plain yogurt when they eat it…and that’s my fav way now…it changes the taste totally.
Plain is the only way of getting the correct acidophilis (sic?); all yogurt with fruit & flavour is just advertising—not worth the $$$. Plain yogurt is also good for upset stomachs and when taking an antibiotic to counteract the riding of ALL bacteria (we NEED the good bacteria).

heres an answer from left field that just may have a great impact. Try colloidal silver in a douche. it is the fastest known (6 seconds) natural antibacterial . it is also the most historically used and least detrimental to human health.

Start with balancing your pH. You cannot kill bacteria if you are acidic. Buy apple cider vinagre tablets and take the after meals. You can get homeopathic remedies to kill this bacteria then take yogourt for the good bacteria (acidophylus?)
