I have been suffering from bacterial vaginosis for 5 years. help!!!!!!!

Treatment for bacterial vaginosis consists of antibiotics. A few antibiotics are routinely used. Metronidazole taken by either oral (pill) form or by vaginal metronidazole gel is an effective treatment. Also available is the vaginal clindamycin cream. The oral metronidazole can cause some minor but unpleasant side effects, but is believed to be the most effective treatment. Metronidazole is not used in early pregnancy because of potential adverse effects on the babies. Metronidazole is not used by nursing mothers because of potential adverse effects on the babies. The gels do not typically cause side effects, although yeast vaginitis can result. Although treatment is generally successful, about 15% of women experience recurrent symptoms within a month. With recurrent symptoms, a second course of antibiotics is generally prescribed.

As far as I know that’s the way to get rid of it. If antibiotics haven’t helped, you may have something else and should ask for another diagnosis.
That is bad! You really need to go see a adoctor for that problem. Depending on your situation..you can go to a planned parenthood clinic. If you do not have income, they most likey will not charge you. But regardless, you have to go see a doctor on this issue. Going to a planned parenthood clinic will help you out alot. Things can remain confidential and they will do their best at helping out your problems and even give you medication to cure what ever you have. I hope all goes well…
Oviously you went to the doctor to get that diagnosis. That is contagious and if you are being treated and your
partner(s)are not…… I would get tested for aides also.
i got this thing off of the internet it is ‘uritract’ i have the same problem….whenever i feel it coming on i take some of that, and ever since i got the uritract i haven’t had one. i hate those things try it out. not the pills the powder.
