What are the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis?
A few months ago i went to get a Brazilian wax. I didn’t realize but the stick was double dipped into wax used on other clients. Anyways i got these small red bumps which i assumed were ingrown hairs, but i have put a product called Tend-Skin on them and they have not gone away. I also have alot of white/clear discharge and an odor. What are the chances this is bacterial vaginosis? Do i need to see a doctor about this or will it clear up on its own? I’m a virgin, but could i have gotten an Std? What else could it be?

I have never heard of a person acquiring a STD, from hair removal wax procedures nor am I aware of any cases reported in the medical literature. The risks clearly are teeny, if they occur at all. And your symptoms don’t sound like BV or any other STD. Having said all that, I don’t know what health standards apply to the procedure and whether they are enforced. I’m thinking in particular about the temperature of the wax .i.e. whether it in fact is hot enough to kill any microorganisms. You might telephone your local health department and describe the situation to them. If there is any risk, it is from staph, strep, or other bacterial infections not STDs.
Yes. You need to see your gynecologist to know which bacteria you have.
I’m no MD by any means, but the symptoms that you described sound a lot like a vaginal yeast infection caused by the fungus Candida albacans.
A natural remedy use by many with this problem is caprylic acid, it can be found at most health food stores sold as a dietary supplement under the product names, Caprinex; Capricin; Mycostat, and Caprystatin.
Use your web search for much more information on the Candida fungus.
