Bacterial Vaginosis is different from a yeast infection…it is a different bacteria. Some women are prone to having reccurring BV. I’m not sure if it has to do with your partner…it seems when I had a certain partner I had more of them. But anyways, the BV symptoms are itching, grayish discharge and a fishy smell. Yeast infections you will have severe itching, white lumpy discharge and it smells yeasty…sweet. BV is cleared up pretty easy with an antibiotic called flagyl (I think) and you can get yeast infection medication OTC usually. Go to your dr. and see what they say it is. They can usually tell immediately.
Symptoms are irritation, discomfort, itchiness, discharge, odor, and sometimes bleeding I think. Go to planned parenthood. If you don’t treat things like this early you can become fertile or have other major female problems.
BV is when you constantly get yeast infections and only prescription drugs will get rid of it but it can come back. its not uti. but if it hurts to pee and you constantly have that pressure then yeah
if your vaginal area itches alot (like alot) then i would say you have one. i get a burning/have to go immediately feeling right after i pee. but then again i always get a bladder infection at the same time as i have a yeast infection….idky
