Go back and see your doctor. Fake home "remedies" are only going to give the bacteria more time to multiply.
A yogurt douche will cure it.
For some reason the berry ones work best.
Do it once and the itching, burning will be gone, do it 1 more time in the same day then once more the following day.
It will be gone.
You can get the antibiotic gel from the doctor and ask the doc to give you extra so you aren’t paying $100 every time you get an infection. So then if it starts to come on, you can nip it in the bud. I did this because the pills give me a stomachache and the gel has been more effective. Plus, the pills mess up your intestinal flora while the gel goes straight into your vagina and heals it right there.
This is why the vinegar douche is popular. It won’t cure a BV infection, but if you do it soon after sex, it will restore your pH levels back to normal and possibly PREVENT an infection. But once you are infected, nothing but antibiotics will make it better.
Apple cider vinegar taken orally and in your douche will alter your body’s PH to get rid of the bacteria. Also, hydrogen peroxide therapy (internally, food grade only, small doses) will increase your immune system effectiveness. Used in your douche it creates an oxygen rich environment that bacteria hate. Dilute correctly for the strength of the hydrogen peroxide you get. If you are sexually active, you need to address hygiene with your partner. Uncircumcised males have a much harder time keeping their organ clean and can infect their partner. And, of course you probably have already been instructed in wiping front to back to keep feces from re-infecting you.
apparently probiotic yogurt up the vagina; but I am too classy to do that. :/
I am not sure where you are from; but in australia we sell over the counter products for bacterial vaginitis, that come in gel or pessary form. Go to your local drug store and ask them.
Also diet and general hygiene can impact the amount of bacteria down there. You could also try taking cranberry tablets as they are a natural antibacterial
Bacterial vaginosis, or BV for short, is a very common vaginal infection which affects almost 70% of women during their fertile years. In fact a number of women suffering from this condition do not even realize that they have it because it doesn’t always cause noticeable symptoms. However if the symptoms do start showing up it can become really unpleasant to bear with. Some of the common symptoms of bv include vaginal itching, burning, gray or white vaginal discharge, and a fishy odor that normally becomes potent after intercourse.
What can be done to prevent this condition naturally?
1) Avoid douching: douching is not a very healthy practice. In fact it is not at all necessary because our vagina is naturally a self cleansing body part. Vaginal discharge flushes out any unwanted substance. It also helps to maintain a healthy pH balance. Douching is capable of disturbing the natural pH balance of the vagina and cause infections.
2) Protected sex: BV is not a sexually transmitted disease. However having multiple sexual partners and unprotected sex greatly enhances the chance of contacting BV. Hence always make use of condoms. It would be sensible for you to carry some condoms in your bag just in case your partner forgets about protection.
3) Smoking: Statistically women who smoke are twice likely to get Bv as compared to non-smokers. Smoking makes it difficult for the vagina to maintain the natural pH balance.
4) Hygiene: Wash the vagina with plain water twice a day. Wear underwear made of cotton which does not restrict the air flow in the vaginal area. The bacteria responsible for this infection can survive without oxygen. In fact if there’s air circulating around the vagina the bacteria may find it difficult to thrive. Lastly always remember to wipe from front to back after using the toilet to avoid the bacteria present in the rectum from entering the vagina.
Specific remedies for bacterial vaginosis natural treatment involve making use of garlic, yogurt and apple cider vinegar. These remedies aim to restore the vaginal pH balance and eliminate the bad bacteria responsible for the condition. Yogurt contains the same beneficial bacteria as the ones present in our vagina. These remedies are absolutely safe for use and do not cause any adverse side effects. However each for these remedies may not be effective for one and all. You may have to try out each of these to find out what works for you.
