Treating your partner for bacterial vaginosis?
I might have bacterial vaginosis, i’m waiting for the results of the test. I’m 3 months pregnant and I know it can’t be good for the baby. My partner will have to be treated as well, but he will have to go to the doctor, and it’s not always an easy task ( especially for something like this) to get him to go. I’m wondering if anyone has ever had BV and their doctor wrote a prescription for their partner as well?

most of the time, your doctor wont treat him. If you are seeing a family doctor, just a regular MD then they might. But if you’re getting treated by your obgyn, they probably wont treat him because they usually just treat women.
he can go to a clinic or a his regular doctor.
I’ve had bv since puberty hit at the age of 11 for me. I wasn’t sexually active until I was 19 so I know it isn’t anything I "picked up" from anywhere. I’ve taken Metrogel and Clindesse both many times and took them both vaginally and orally and neither really worked long term. My husband hasn’t been treated and my doctors never saw a reason for him to be. But I do applaud your doctor for taking every step to get rid of the condition. Good luck.
