I've done the same for thrush that kept coming back for years and I eventually nearly throttled my doctor, he put me on a three week course of diflucan and for the first times in years i've been thrush free for months!!! I've also had bv a few times and it's not pleasant. Just tell your doctor that your sick of it recurring and ask him to put you on a longer course to get rid of if for good.
