Ok so just recently on Monday I had my first trip to the gynecologist and this is my first time meeting this doctor, so there’s no patient/doctor relationship between us. He tells me that it looks like I have bacterial vaginosis and I’m thinking is this why I’ve had so many other problems like UTI & a pelvic infection? I’m just now learning what that is exactly and I’m asking myself how long have I had this because I remember back in 9th grade or so, I’ve noticed an odor & discharge from my vaginal area. It really bothered me, the odor made me feel uncomfortable and I tried talking to my mom about it but she didn’t seem too concerned about it and I couldn’t go to a gynecologists. No matter how much I clean, the odor is there & discharge (sometimes discharge is a lot).
The doctor prescribed some antibiotics called Flagyl (the most horrible thing ever) and they’re not fitting well with my body at all. I have other issues going on like tingling in hands or leg sometimes, feeling like I might pass out or whatever, terrible anxiety and stress and I HATE the thought of taking anymore antibiotics because they all give me terrible heartburn. Even though the doctor said it shouldn’t bother my heartburn but it set me way back with my heartburn. Which I’m taking prevacid as well & those side effects are already enough, I’m not one who likes foreign things (pills) to be in my body all the time. THERE HAS TO BE another way to treat bacterial vaginosis & the health of your vagina??
i.e. like some kind of prescribed creams, over the counter creams, feminine soaps, natural treatments, just anything

hi there, Im 14 years oId. i started me period on the 19th of may, it is now june first and i am still bleeding. I noticed my period start to slow down on the 26th and 27th when i discovered a bump on my vagina lip on the 27th, it was very lightly itchy at times and very lighty painful when i touched it, it resembled a pimple. I began to panic but then decided to wait for it to go away. on the 26th i had stomach pains/cramps that i do not usually get during my period. on the 26th and 27th i had a headache and took some advil. I noticed on the 29th and 30th i started bleeding blots clots the size of a quarter after i’d sat down and that the blood was now more red and warm and came out faster. I have a feeling this is not menstral blood anymore. i aslo started getting dizzy spells on the 29th and 30th nd today aswell I began researching and came up with bacterial vaginitis. since, i’ve been cleaning my outer genitals more and the bump has gone down. i am still getting dizzy spells though and bleeding more blood clots every time i getup. Please help my diagnose this, whatever it is, and tell me some natural ttreatments before it gets too late. thank you so much.
I forgot to mention my father has a history of dizzy spells as well and i have had them before but they have went away and are coming back now.

I had the Mirena IUD for about 7 months and got Bacterial Vaginosis and a yeast infection. The symptoms lasted the whole 7 months I had it, but I didn’t know what it was at the time. I then got the IUD removed and was put on Flagyl. My symptoms immediately improved (that was last June).
However, I started a new birth control pill about 6 weeks ago, but stopped taking it after the first pack. It was then I noticed some of the BV symptoms again. I can’t really tell if it’s BV though because I don’t have a strong odor or anything, but I just have increased white discharge and a mild smell.
I did the Vagisil screening kit and it said my pH was about 5.0-5.5.
Oh, and I’ve been with my bf for over 4 years and we are completely monogamous. So please no rude comments.

im 24 and since i was about 12 (after i started my period) i have always had a yellow thin discharge (like pee!) and a fishy smell down below. its very embarrasing and i can smell it all the time therefore i think others can too. the smell comes through my knickers and trousers and i always feel slightly damp. ive had thrush treatments so its not that, also have had treatment for bacterial vaginosis so its not that. its not the same symptoms as yeast infections so i dont think its that either. i shower every morning and wash every night. ive had it so long and it really gets me down. ive been to my gp about it and he thought it was bacterial vaginosis but the treatment didnt make it go! has anyone else got the same??

Can BV cause a misscarige even if your getting treated for it?
I’m 9 weeks pregnant and got diagonosed with it yesterday the doctor gave me cleocin vaganial cream to cure it. I take it for 7 nights. Does it cause misscarige while being treated or only if you let it go?

My wife found out she has Bacterial Vaginosis which is associated with having a new partner.
We haven’t been intimate for a couple months, due to stress on both our parts. Recently she has been very distant, coming home late, etc. I’d already begun to suspect something might be going on.
And now she has this. How could she get this without having sex? Am I paranoid to assume the worst?

My daughter’s "tutti" (as we call her "area") has been pretty red these last few days and she won’t let me see it. I figured I would keep it clean & dry and it would heal but tonight I checked it again and it has some yeasty discharge, I thought maybe it’s a yeast infection but it has a foul oder like a bacterial infection would have. I’m calling her doctor in the morning but I’m just curious if it’s even possible for her to have a BI this young?

ok so me and my man are ttc… when he cums inside me, if i go pee right after, im fine. but if i dont, i get a nasty odor and itch in the morning that turns into bacterial vaginosis. well, i think. it happened once and this is the second time im having the same symptoms. why is this happening? am i allergic to his cumm? does it not mix with mine? can i not get pregnant by him?
update: this smell lasted for 2 days…. and once we stopped having sex ( cause we live in diff states) it went away. maybe its just that the smell of me and him dont mix and smell gross?

About a year ago I met a guy, dated him and slept with him. I ended up with a yeast infection and bacterial vaginitis. I freaked out thinking he gave me an STD, but in fact it wasn’t. I went to get myself treated and had an STD test, as did he. We’re both negative. As we continued to date and sleep together, we didn’t have any further problems. But I notice whenever we have a small break in sex, and then sleep together, I start this itching reaction AGAIN. We are not using condoms (on birth control), exclusively dating, and yes I trust that he is faithful, that’s not even an issue so don’t tell me he’s cheating.
At first I thought maybe it was his bed sheets or something, but it has happened from sex in different places.
I’m curious if maybe our body environments are clashing or something weird?? like the "flora" in that region isn’t right?? I dont know, I’m just looking for mature, knowledgeable answers.
Thanks
