Before I was treated I had this white clumpy discharge, enough to where if I had sex or inserted my finger it would be on the condom or on my finger which is very embarrassing. Now after my treatment I STILL HAVE IT! I’ve read that taking bacterial pills can cause yeast in the vaginal area but I had these symptoms before I was treated so I figure if it was a yeast infection it would have came up. And I know a lot of people will answer saying go to the doctor which I am today I just want to see if anyone have had this problem before…just to ease my mind, or If you might have an idea of what it is.

Smear ? After I got my results the doctor found an infection and prescribed me Metroinzadole Vaginal gel 0.75 and said no sex. I looked it up and it was prescribed for Bacterial Vaginosis. Can this antibiotic gel kill the Chlamydia bacteria ?

ive had bv for 9 months now n the doctor gives me prescriptions but it does not take it away for long. it will be relieved for at most 3 weeks and than come back. i have no idea what to do now to get rid of it so if any ones how to or has suffered from this to please help me and tell me what you did to get rid of it. thanks

hi, so a few years ago when i first got with my hband, we had STI screening and was treated was chylamida- he was too. all other results came back negative…that was 5 years ago…in oct this year we are now married and we decided to TTC and i have noticed that i have been getting creamy/white NOT stretchy discharge more a less every day (i dont know how long its been there as i was on the pill and obviously with TTC now i have been taking more notice of things)- i notice it when its dries on underwear as a whitey flaky type texture and when im weeing it kinda just is there ready to drip out sometimes, it doesnt stretch and is a creamy white colour like a liquidy but thickish texture (sorry for TMI) its doesnt have a smell really but a little bit of sweet type, hard to exlpain, i have had bacteria vaginosis before and wondering if that is what it could be as obviously me and my h/band have been treated years ago and have only been with eachother since…i also got tested after the treatment and it came back negative (just wanted to check it had defo gone). So any ideas what this could be, im getting it nearly every day…i have not had a positive ovulation test yet this month so far so its not ovulation discharge, ive also had a negative preg test other day. plz help- thanks…i might go to clinic 2nite just to speak to them about it and maybe get 3rd time tested for chlyamida – im getting worried and obsessed now as TTC so want to do everythin properly and maturely im 24. thanks for help and advice

Very good hygeine, always smelled normal until i got the iud. Now after having intercourse, there is a strong unpleasant odor. No discharge or other symptoms. Other than bacterial vaginosis could it be from my IUD? also any suggestions on stopping it (NOT douches, i know those are not good)
i also have hypothyroidism and take meds for lungs, thyroid and some mental issues. But i dont think those are related

I’m at the end of my tether with a problem lasting roughly three years. I’ve suffered from recurring bouts of BV since the age of 19 (I am now 22). It effects my daily life and self esteem. I know I am a clean person but it makes me feel and smell like I am not. I get respite during my periods (unusual for BV but at least I know what to do during those seven days and therefore smell a lot cleaner). I think I contracted it when I first had unprotected sex with my then long-term boyfriend (we’ve split up since, in 2009). I’m afraid to go to the salon to get waxed. I’m afraid to sit down for too long in case the smell wafts up. My panties are often damp after wearing them for a few hours. It’s disgusting. I’ve been to an STD clinic twice about it, and both times got the all clear for other infections and got given antibiotics, which only helped for about a week after the course was finished. I’ve been using plain yoghurt tampons and taking lactobacillus acidophilius tablets, along with folic acid tablets, over the past few days and there seems to be a big improvement but does this mean I have to continue doing this for the rest of my life? I’ve met someone new who I really like and who likes me but the idea of taking everything to the next level when I have this condition seems like hell, I can’t explain it to him. Even my ex used to complain (before I found out what it was), and so as a result I went through a phase of washing three or four times a day, which in retrospect probably made it worse. I’m 22 now and I’ve read a lot about bacterial vaginosis and I know that it can cause problems with fertility and childbirth, which worries me even more. Is there a way of combatting it permanently or do I just have to learn to manage it from now on rather than curing it?

Me and my husband have been ttc for about a year now but I found out recently that I have a bacterial infection. I read that sometimes bacterial infections have no symptoms in women. Could this be the reason why I am not pregnant yet?

For the past couple of months, I have been experiencing a brown discharge. At first it was a clear discharge tinged with blood. Now it’s just a brown discharge sometimes it’s stringy. It really isn’t a lot but every time, I wipe there’s brown. What could this be?

I researched BV (bacterial vaginitis) and saw that people were clearing it up with high doses of folic acid. So I took folic acid and the discharge stopped WHILE I was taking the folic acid every time I stopped taking the folic acid, the brown discharge returned.

There’s no way I can be pregnant. I’ve never had sex though me and my boyfriend do fool around. I am 22. What can this be??..help!!
