So here’s the story. My boyfriend and I have been together for 10 months now and we have sex twice a week. Sometimes we start off with no condom because he insists he knows when he’ll come, then we have sex again with a condom on. Also, he is uncircumcised and we took each other’s virginity. This is all background information. The real problem is, 2 nights ago we had sex and during our foreplay, I was gonna give him oral sex but didn’t like the smell of his penis. It had a fishy musty kind of stinge. He put it in me with no condom & we went on for about 2 minutes maybe until I ordered him to put one on since I don’t take any birth control pills. Anyways, it’s been 3 days & I’ve been noticing an odor coming from my vagina very similar to what his penis smelled like that night, kind of fishy. I’ve never had this problem before until now & at first I thought maybe I just haven’t washed well enough, which is hard to believe because I shower twice a day. I’ve read it online & everything suggests BV. I don’t want to go to the doctors because my mom will find out. I’m 19 btw. What are the actual symptoms? & any natural cures?
I want to tell my boyfriend so bad but not only is it embarrassing to me, but he might get offended too.

I was diagnosed with bv about a week ago and was prescribed Flagyl (metronidazole). Like 3 days into the treatment I was feeling completely back to normal and continued to take the antibiotics after my symptoms were gone to prevent it from recurring.
In the paperwork I received from the doctor it said you can have sex if you use a condom, so I had sex the day before my last day of antibiotics and about 3 hours later I got the same exact symptoms again. Because it’s sunday and I couldn’t get an appt. I have a phone appt. with my gyno tomorrow.
This is my first bv infection and I’ve been sexually active for a year now, Now it seems that everytime I have sex this happens.
Has anyone gotten bv after it cleared up while taking antibiotics? I really just want to know if it’s a somewhat normal thing and if my gyno will just prescribe me more flagyl to clear up the infection.
The thing is, I’m now scared to have sex again, because the severe pain and itching of this is not worth it for me.

Ok, y’all. Please be brave and answer this question. After I had Wyatt 10 months ago, I have been suffering from bacterial vaginosis. I was given a round of antibiotics, which helped…but it came back. My doctor said that my hormones being screwed up from pregnancy caused this. It won’t go away. What have y’all done to make it permanently go away? I have heard so many home remedies. Things I should insert…yogurt, garlic, boric acid, colloidal silver …douching with peroxide…taking loads of folic acid and acidophilus supplements. What really helped for y’all? I’m ready for t to be gone.

At how many weeks did you start curing it? Did you cure it at all? If not, what happened? I’m very curious because I am 17 weeks pregnant and found out that I have bacterial viagnosis 2 weeks ago but i’m here in the Philippines and I won’t be returning to California in 3 weeks (20 weeks prego by then). I tried my best to get the medication that was recommended for me but they don’t have it here. What will happen? HELP PLEASE!

I had a mild case of bacterial vaginosis about a month ago, my NP called in an rx for Clindamycin cream 2%, to be applied for 7 nights. I did 5 or 6 nights and my symptoms were gone so I stopped using the cream. Things didn’t quite return to normal, but I wanted to give it some time. About a week later I started having the worst yeast infection I’ve ever had. I took two diflucan, 72 hours apart, somewhat better but not totally, so started an over the counter cream (Miconazole). Got better for a couple days but then yeast symptoms returned (mostly itching and uncomfortable). Finally got to see an NP but she just gave me another 7 days of Miconazole, which I’m skeptical of since I already tried it…
Has anyone else ever had bad yeast infection after using Clindamycin cream? I’m definitely not using it again -I usually don’t have problems with yeast so I’m going crazy trying to get rid of this infection.
