I had a bacterial infection treated it and went to the Dr b/c I still had irritation, she said I had a bad yeast infection she gave me the one pill dose and told me to take one that day (Wed) and again on Sat, now (today) I’m getting a bacterial infection again, is this common? should I get on med for bacterial infection and wait a few more days to take the yeast infection medicine so this doesnt become a cycle? thanks

The doctor just called me and said I had a yeast infection and BV…Im scared. I think ive had the BV for a while tho but I just thought it was alot of discharge and the weather being hot and all. Do you think I harmed my baby at all or does the mucus plug keep him safe from the bacteria?

I’ve had BV for almost two months. I just ended a week-long treatment with antibiotics. It went away after about 4 days but just came right back after the treatment stopped. Seeing the discharge is weird, but on the whole it’s not a very uncomfortable condition. I’ve had the same partner the whole time I’ve had bv- it started up right after we became sexually active. It hasn’t really gotten in the way of a good sex life, and I don’t notice any odor. I experience slight itching, but it’s not really bothersome. Seeing the discharge is weird because it’s an alert that the condition is still present, but I could learn to ignore that. Should I just pretend this never happened? Will I face serious health risks if I just let the BV be?

A few months ago i went to get a Brazilian wax. I didn’t realize but the stick was double dipped into wax used on other clients. Anyways i got these small red bumps which i assumed were ingrown hairs, but i have put a product called Tend-Skin on them and they have not gone away. I also have alot of white/clear discharge and an odor. What are the chances this is bacterial vaginosis? Do i need to see a doctor about this or will it clear up on its own? I’m a virgin, but could i have gotten an Std? What else could it be?

I am about 2 months pregnant and I got a pep smear today and the doctor called later on in the day and told me that i have bacterial vaginosis.. i dont know what causes it.. i dont know if its normal?…the truth is that im scared and i told my boyfriend and hes kinda worried.. i think he thinks i have an infection or something.. im worried about myself and the baby.. do any of you have any information about this bacteria.. the doctor gave me some vaginal cream.. but even though im gonna take it.. im still worried..

I’ve had yeast infections my whole life starting when I was a pre teen. I got bacterial vaginosis for the first time when I was 15 and keep getting it again and again after that. I’m a virgin, I don’t douche or do anything wierd like that plus I’m not gross or anything. I shower everyday. I just don’t get why I keep getting all these wierd infections. HELP

Is there a way to stop it from coming back? as if monthly period is not bad enough.

I had it twice. First time I went to the doc, sec time I used the med I didnt finish for the first round, and its seems to be clearing up fine now. I’m gonna continue the cream for a month, like what the label said *the doc say I can stop after it clears, but the label in it says to continue even after it stops*

I know there is no way to prevent it, but is there a way to just.. stop it from coming back?

I never had this problem with my ex… is it because i always use a condom with my ex and not with my current boy? I only have 2 boyfriends whom I have been sexually active with before, and no multiple partners. neither do they. now with BV my sex life with my curent boy is affected.. altho he’s really kind and understanding and all.. but it pains me… I’m scare I’m not able to bear children for him in future. and if it keeps coming back… how can we have sex?

Is it possible for bacterial vaginosis to be in a persons system for a long period of time and even after treatments being attempted, it still remained. But is it possible for it to develop into Chlaymidia? My friend just got word from her doctor that while getting her pap for the BV that won’t go away, she now is positive for Chlaymidia. Her husband just came home from Iraq and she wasn’t with anyone else. He just got tested, and he was negative!! Is there any explanation to this? Please only serious answers! Keep the funny ones to yourself!! She is really distraught about this and her husband is also curious as to how this happened. They were both tested when they got married for STD’s and both were clean…aside from the BV.

I have some pretty serious side effects on antibiotics and I am scared to take them..Also, what are some reasons that a woman would have multiple periods in one month? I have had like six in the last two months!!! Not full periods everytime but more than a little spotting. Thanks
