ok so about a week ago, i have an itch inside my labia by my vaginal opening. then it started to hurt, pretty bad, so i examined myself and it kinda looked red. i waited it off a few days but it kinda moved like switched to the other side but then went away. now about a day or two ago i have this awful discharge smell and its yellow/tan. my discharge was fine until now. it kinda was like a dead something, now it smells like old man breath.. gross i know! so i looked up some stuff and i know somethings wrong cause this isnt right lol but what kind of infection do u think it is? i heard yest infection but i dont have half those symptoms… bacterial vaginitis i was leaning toward.. but what do u think. i cant really afford any doctor but i will soon if it doesn’t get better. plz help thank youuuuu
all itching has gone away its just this nasty smell that making me mad!

I have been having some bleeding/spotting after intercourse, pelvic pressure and daily menstrual cramping for a few months now so I went to the doctor this morning. I explained what was going on and she said before she even examined me that she will probably give me an antibiotic, didn’t say why. She swabbed my cervix with a q-tip and that alone made it bleed so there is obviously a problem somewhere….she said so herself.

After waiting an hour for her to look under the microscope, the nurse finally called me into her office to check out and they gave me antibiotics for bacterial vaginosis. She never said they found any bacteria and I have no symptoms of a bacterial infection…no fishy or foul odor, no abnormal discharge…nothing. The nurse said to call after the week of antibiotics if it doesn’t get better. I told her I don’t have any symptoms of what I am being treated for so how do I know when I am better? She basically shrugged her shoulders and said to make sure my husband and I don’t have intercourse while I’m on the pills, again didn’t say why. I’m not trying to put the nurse down because she seemed like the only one who knew what she was doing and they were very busy/behind schedule so I didn’t want to be there any longer (I was already there for 2 hours at this point) so I left and started planning on where to get a second opinion.

What’s really weird is one of my friends is having similar problems and her doctor diagnosed her with this too and she doesn’t have it! AND her sister was diagnosed with it and doesn’t have it! What the heck is going on with this "quick and easy" wrong diagnoses and what is wrong with me?

I have googled cervical bleeding and have ruled out many causes…no stds, no endometriosis (was checked a few years ago for that), no imflammation, no yeast infection, etc. I also googled bacterial vaginosis and the only link connected to bleeding says that "Vaginal bleeding due to Bacterial Vaginosis, although rare, is a disturbing symptom"?!

I’m sorry this is so long but I can’t stop worrying about it. My poor husband thinks I have cancer lol. I do have a very strong family history of cancer but I’m only 23 so I’m trying to think positive.

Any advice/experience stories are appreciated. Thanks!

how do you know if a betta fish has a bactrerial infection of some kind of fungal thing? how do u cure it?

Ok so I am really getting worried as I am not sure what is wrong with me. For the past 3-5 months I have had a alot of vaginal discharge it is yellow and used to have a smell to it. Also let me add that I have had two children who I birthed vaginally, they are 3 and 6 now…But anyway I went to the dr they tested me and found out that I had bacterial vaginosis, so they put me on pills. I got tonsilitus while on these pills and had to stop taking them cause I had to take another antibiotic. After time had gone by the odor of the discharge went away but I still had the yellow discharge and I may add that it doesnt itch anymore either. So a few weeks ago I called my dr again, explained the problem with the other pill they gave me and they prescribed a vaginal gel for me. I have finished with the entire medication this time and guess what I still have the yellow discharge. I can tell that its yellow cause I have to wear a panty liner all the time and its constant yellow but again no odor. I do take birth control so I dunno if that is something that is causing it. My fiance and I have a very sexually active relationship and we do not wear protection. I have been tested for STD’s and HIV, my pap smear came back normal all of the tests came back normal. My fiance shows no signs of std’s or anything either and he was also tested. I am really at my witts end with this, I hate to call the dr back again, im scared too. I mean is it likely that they mis diagnosed me, or maybe my bacterial vaginosis is not totally cleared up yet, but then if that is so why dont I have an odor ? I wonder if it could just be a yeast infection, cause I also have a small sore on the inside of my vulva, it looks like a cut or a bug bite and becomes sore sometimes when I pee, but I thought that was just from rough sexual intercourse sorry to be so blunt..But if this was a genital herpes wouldnt the dr have told me about this during testing and wouldnt my fiance have these warts too ? Ugh I am so confused…Can someone please give me some advice on this, I dunno what to think and I am kinda scared.

It was on my left side, right where my left ovary would be, it was so bad that it woke me up, I dont have any bleeding or anything, but I’ve never felt this before.

I think I have Bacterial Vaginosis, would that cause such bad cramps?
I mean I just went to my OB/GYN last week for a checkup, and I have to urinate in a cup and everything, and I had a yeast infection about a month ago that she saw in my pee, it wasnt a bad one, and she didnt say anything about it on this last checkup, but I didnt know if that has to be tested a diff way or something?

So i know that i have bacterial vaginosis… what type of oral antibiotics should i take to get rid of it. In my country you do not need a prescription at the pharmacy to access drugs, so i just need to know which ones to buy, how many milligrams, ect.

Or should i just keep the area clean and dry and wait it out?

I DON’T KNOW WHATS WRONG WITH ME EVERY DAY I HAVE BROWN SPOTS IN MY UNDERWEAR. I COULD TAKE A SHOWER AND 1 TO 2 HOURS LATER ITS BACK THERE AND I CAN’T GET RID OF IT. IT HAS A VERY BAD ODOR AND IT SEEMS LIKE CLUMP DIRT OR SOMETHING. I DID THINK IT WAS BACTERIA VAGINOSIS BUT NOW I DON’T NOW WHAT IT IS.

I have a UTI and I’m taking antibiotics for it. Now all of sudden my vagina, the outer walls are itching me like crazy!!!! i put a mirror down there and saw small bumps, not warts, but tiny bumps which are freaking itching me!!! I’ve had B.V. [Bacterial Vaginitis] before and my vagina never itched or had those tiny bumps…my doctor’s appointment is this monday, but until then what should i do? i dont even know if it’s a yeast infection…what do you think it is? the shit is itching me like there’s no tomorrow!
I have to add that I have NOT been sexually active for the past 3 years.

Ok, I went to my Gyno, and she swabbed me 2 times, and she did a rapid test of Yeast and Bacterial Vaginosis, well on the rapid test I had Bacterial Vaginosis, but no yeast. She sent out the culture though to see if the yeast grew. I was using a gel to clear the BV, and she put me on a 5 day course of that, but I had severe burning on the outside,and itching and the gel decreased the burning itching pain, but it was still there when I was done with the treatment. I started to get a cottage cheese like discharge, and I called my Gyno, and she said to wait a couple of days, cause it might be the gel, it clumps. I was determined though it was a yeast infection, so I bought Monistat 7, and I used it for the first time last night, and I woke up this morning with intense BURNING ITHCING STINGY PAIN. Worse than the infection itself. Anyways I know I have a allergic reaction to it, but my question is how do I get rid of this cream? Also will this Monistat cause a yeast infection if I don’t have one? Will this burning go away? Do you think it’s still the Bacterial Vaginosis, and I just need a second round of meds for it? I am seeing my gyno a week from now, because she is booked. I just got really anxious, and stupidly bought Monistat, I am afraid now this intense burn won’t go away, I am afraid I caused a yeast infection now. Oh and my lab test results came back negative for yeast too.

I keep getting recurrent bacterial vaganosis. I DO not have mutiple sex partners, I DO NOT douche or wear sprays, and I don’t have an std. I was married and with the same man for 5 years, still got it. Now I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year and get it after almost every period. Could my period be causing it> I am very clean. Inwas diagnosed with fibroid tumors in my uterus but I don’t think that’s it. I hate having to go pay an arm and a leg every month or two for a non insurance doc visit and then take flagyl. What could be causing this over and over and I need something to get rid of it forever. It’s embarassing!!! ONLY symptom I have is that weird smell and discharge…YUCK.
