Hey everyone! I wanted to let you know that my spotting is due to a bacterial vaginitis infection. My midwife (who I absolutely love!) gave me Metronidazole 500mg twice a day for 7 days. She said this was completely safe and BV is a common thing in early pregnancy. I am 8 weeks and 3 days today.

Has anyone had BV with spotting? Anyone taken this medicine? Any side effects that you experienced?

I read on the card that comes with your prescription that it should not be taken within the first trimester. But, if it weren’t safe, my midwife would not have given it to me….right? I am guessing the benefits outweigh the risks.

Any opinions?

i have bacterial vaginosis an have been trying to get pregnant for about an year i have had vaginosis for a about an year the doctor gave me doxocyl its spelled something like that and today is the last day i take it im hoping it will allow me to get pregnant but i just dont know doctors have told me you can still get pregnant but ive tried everything the fertility monitors and taking chart but still nothing im only 19 so its not of old age can someone please help thanks

How will i know if i have a yeaster infection or BV? What are yeast infection symptoms? I have a fishy odor down there during/after sex. Also white/grey/clear discharge. Sometimes itching. Which one is it more than likely? Are the symptoms the same? And can i purchase Flagyl for BV over the counter without a prescription in Virgina?

I heard that a bacterial vaginosis can cured less than 3 days, is it true?

I was diagnosed with it after getting a divorce Before my divorce my husband NOW EX ran around on me But I am not sure if I picked it up from that or If I when finding another man picked it up Can anyone help me please? Ok Now that we are thru taking all the Flagyl can it come back or should I be retested to make sure it is cleared up…..YOU know us older folks dont really know all the answers either THANKS to every one that has responded
