I have checked all my symptoms and I am fairly sure that I have bacterial vaginosis (fishy smell…discharge…. luckily it doesnt itch). Are there any home remedies for it?

I am from the United States but I am currently working in Spain. I seem to have developed some vaginal problems; i am having a strong fish odor and very constant, clear/yellowish, thin discharge. I don’t have health insurance so I’m not sure how hospitals or clinics work overseas. I’m not sure what the problem is, but I’m guessing it’s bacterial because of the odor. Does anyone know of an over the counter solution to this; or know how expensive hospitals/clinics around here are?

I am a young teenager and I think I suffer from bacterial vaginosis, even though I’ve never been checked out. I was looking on the internet and came upon a cure for B.V (folic acid). I want to give it a try but I just dont know which brand to pick. Could someone help me with this?

I had bacterial vaginitis about a year ago and It seemed like it came over night…the smell was beyond disgusting and pungant. I am not itchy or anything…no burning but i have a slight "off" smell that is kinda fishy smelling. I think its the starts to something bad…you think monistat should take care of it?

I have these symptoms each time (about 1-2 times a year). It is an infection, so I was just wondering if anyone else had these symptoms. They clear up along with the vaginosis in a few days of taking clindamycin. The symptoms come before the medication, so they’re not from the medication.

I checked the sypmoms online on several websites but none of them mentions urination urgency as a symptom of BV. But could it be? Anyone had any experience like mine?
I have all the other BV symtoms and I was tested for a UTI a few days ago and I don’t have it.

I was told I had bacterial vaginosis about a month ago. I used the gel antobiotic given to me by my doctor for about 7-9 days as instructed. I was fine with no discharge for about 2 weeks, then i got my period. After my period i started having some discharge again. Is it possible that i have bacterial vaginosis again so soon? could it have been the tampons?

I recently started having sex, which I think prompted my first ever problem down there. I went to the gyno for the first time and I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. My doctor gave me the antibiotic metronidazol to clear it up. However, the more I look into it, it sounds like taking the antibiotic can cause a yeast infection. Is this just other types of antibiotics? Or am I likely to get a yeast infection now?

I have been tested for STD’s and yeast infections and those came back negative. I have also been treated for 2 bacteria vaginosis infections and a yeast infection and it keeps coming back. What should I do?

How does treatment for a bacterial infection differ from treatment for a virus?
A. You can treat bacterial infections, not viruses, with antibiotics.
B. You can treat viruses, not bacterial infections, with antibiotics.
C. You can treat viruses with antifungal medications.
D. There is no difference. You can treat both types of illnesses with antibiotics.

I’m super nervous. Like, it’s not even describable how nervous I am. But I’m almost convinced I have bacterial vaginosis and I’ve known for a long time. But I didn’t learn until just today that if it doesn’t get treated, it can turn into something serious. So I made my plan that I’m going to the Options for Sexual Health drop-in clinic next week. What are they going to do?

I just got from the ER with flu like symptoms, stabbing stomach pain, and vaginal bleeding. I was diagnosed with BV. I have been doing research on BV but have not located where any of my symptoms have been noted. I am scheduling an apt with my obgyn tomorrow. Could there be more issues at hand or just BV? Also can BV cause any other female reprotuctive peoblems? Has anyone else experienced my symptons with BV? Thanks

I have been diagnosed as having bacterial vaginosis. My period is almost two weeks late now. I KNOW that I’m NOT pregnant because I have been practicing abstinence for the past year. Can this infection be the cause of my missed period? I have never missed a period, other than the time I was pregnant with my daughter so this is not a usual thing for me. I am a little bit worried. Thanks in advance to anyone that answers.

I’m worried I might have a yeast infection, or bacterial vaginosis. There are tablets I found to cure it, but I am not sure how to use it. They are called CENASERT tablets. How do I use these tablets? Do I insert them, and leave it there?

I don’t have insurance, so I was wondering if there is anything available to treat bacterial vaginitis over the counter? Or maybe someone knows a home remedy.
