periods? I was diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis a month ago and I had to take pills to get rid of it. I don’t think it ever went away. I’m still itching, but not as bad. Also, I don’t have any symptoms of any kind of discharge. I also think I may have been wrongfully diagnosed. I’m hopeing that whatever I have won’t set me infertile. That would totally ruin my life.

I know that this is a bacteria that develops in women. I’m doing a report on this sooo I was wondering how do men get treated for this I can’t find this info anywhere! Please Help! Thank you =)

I just realized that if you don’t clean all the way deep down inside you can get bacterial vaginosis and be funky and tissy from like months…is this true, cause I thought the vagina was a self cleaning oven?

The vet gave my dog two shots for a bacterial infection Friday. We also think he is hypoglycemic. We are treating him with pediatric electrolyte, maple syrup and nutri-cal. He also has had an enema. He is still very lethargic, has trouble getting up and moving, drinks no water and has not urinated in 12-24 hours. Our vet is out of town, what can we do?

I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis a month or two ago when I went in for a pap smear. I took the prescribed course of metro gel but I STILL have it, or maybe it just came right back. I called my doctor and she prescribed me oral meds this time. Has anyone had trouble getting rid of vaginosis? I’ve had it before too and it took forever to go away. Help!

i have bv, i was wondering, if i used a douche, can i have an intimate night w/out it attacking me by the next day…….

So I’m 14 weeks pregnant and found out that I had BV so I was prescribed Flagyl for 7 days. Well the day that I got my presciption filled, before I even started taking the pills, I started feeling very itchy down there, something I never felt the whole time I was waiting for the results back to see if I had BV. I have been taking the Flagyl and have a doctors appointment scheduled for Monday but the symptoms have gotten worse. It seems the BV is clearing up, as I was having a fishy odor before that is now gone, but now I’m itchy and burning down there. I’ve never had a yeast infection so I don’t know what they are like but I’ve had thicker discharge, I wouldn’t really say it’s like cottage cheese, just thick and it doesn’t smell fishy or particularly bad, it just smells the way I would imagine "yeast" to smell. I am absolutely miserable, not only is our sex life suffering because of this but I can’t sleep at night and I don’t even want to go anywhere because my lady parts are so uncomfortable. : ( Can anyone tell me before I get the chance to talk to my doctor what this is and what I can do to treat it, being pregnant and on medication for BV already? Is bacterial vaginosis associated with PID and if so does metronidazole help treat it.I had bacterial vaginosis recently and someone told me that its associated with PID.is this true?

About 2 weeks ago I used one of those Vagisil Screening Kits which tests for,Yeast Infection,Bacterial Vaginosis,Trichomoniasis.It showed up as trichomoniasis for me,however,I haven’t been sexually active,in sexual contact,been in contact with needles or drugs,OR even in kissed someone in 3 years.I do have bit of a fishy odor and a little bit of an itch,but my discharge is clear or white,but never grey,yellow,or green.Most of the odor is usually in the morning as well as my itchiness and the itchiness isn’t to the extreme.Also,I had a papsmear less than 5 months ago and everything was ok.In other details,I haven’t had a period in 3 years due to my severe eating disorder,I sometimes wipe back to front,I shave down there,I’ve never encountered to having an STD,just infections I have been treated for a yeast infection and bacterial infection before.I’m just a bit concerned since it said I had trichomoniasis.In your opinion,or if you’ve ever dealt with my situation, what would my case be?
