I was told by my doc that i have to use neo-penotran vaginal suppositor for treatment of bacterial vaginosis but then I am in my 5th week in pregnancy. I have used neo-penotran for 4 nights already when i found in the net that it’s not safe. Is this true?

I’m 10 weeks and 4 days pregnant and I also have BV right now. My doctor gave me cleocin vaganial cream to cure it. It’s a catagory B drug for pregnancy. And so far has been working well. I have to use it for 7 days. Tomorrow will be my last day using it.
I don’t know about your medication but if your doctor knew you were pregnant I don’t think they would give you anything to hurt your baby.
Also don’t go reading all these scary sites about BV ! You caught it and are getting it cured so you will be fine! If you let it go it can be bad that’s all.
GOOD LUCK!
Maybe ask your doctor about Cleocin? And theres this other one to that you can use durin pregnancy I heard…it starts with an M I think…
Well GOOD LUCK!
Call and ask a pharmacist at your local Walgreens or Walmart and then in the morning call and ask your doctor to be sure.
