It’s supposed to smell like that, just a little bit. It doesn’t really smell like fish, it’s just that that is the only thing that is a little bit the same. Tell your bf that if he doesn’t like it, stay away from it. That should shut him up.
rinse and wash daily, if not more than once a day if it smells like that, thats what i have my girlfriend do, and sometimes i help her wash it in the shower? that always works too, team effort!
I was diagnosed with bacterial vaganosis when I was pregnant it basically when you have more bad bacteria in the vagina then good ones. I was prescribed a medicine called flagyl it gets rid or it. There is a certain way that you have to wipe and wash your vagina. I didn’t know this you have to wipe from top to bottom all the time. Which is from the part that is closer to your stomach to the part that is closer to your butt. Not wiping this way can cause bv and after it goes away it can bring it back. Also try using a plain vinegar and water douche no fragrance. If this doesn’t help then you will need to go to the gynecologist. Good luck
Fishy odor is the most common symptom of bacterial vaginosis. The only way to know for sure is to take a sample of the discharge and look at it under a microscope. Do you have itchiness and irritation? I you are unsure you need to have it looked at. For the time being do not douche or wash the area. This can upset the normal flora and make it worse. I would also recommend avoiding sex. Check out the following link, which has a lot of good info about ways to avoid bacterial vaginosis and treatment options. Best of luck.
