I have had bacterial vaginosis for at least 4 years with over 11 treatments and it keeps coming back.

Thousands of women get b.v. every year and don’t even know they have it so I doubt it commonly causes "permanent infertility". When I had I was freaking out too because I read about that online but my doctor told me its a bunch of crap. Stop reading webmd!!! LOL.

IF there is bacterial vaginosais an infection which symptoms include an odorous vaginal discharge .it may be fish like and grey odor . if thuis will last for longer period like it so chronic then it will lead to infertility . like if the woman is infecdted with chlamydia ,gonorrhea .this will ruin the vagianal going to the internal sex organs . so it is advisable for a paps smear and gyne consultatiions for an early detection.
Bacterial vaginosis can be caused by many things, including diabetes, poor diet, frequent sex without condoms (bacteria can spread during sex), wiping yourself improperly and spreading fecal matter and overuse of antibiotics (which can also cause yeast infections). If you have bacterial vaginosis, your discharge will have a foul, fishy odor. You say you’ve had 11 treatments, but from whom? Are you treating yourself with Monistat, because that’s for YEAST, not bacteria. Many women think it’s bacterial when it’s really yeast. Treating the wrong thing can cause the problem to become perpetual.
If you haven’t seen a doctor yet, visit the drugstore and buy the Vagisil pH screening kit. This will tell you if it’s bacterial, or if it’s yeast. If you haven’t seen a GYN yet, now would be a good time to find one (4 years is too long to suffer).
To get a better idea of what’s going on, check out this website I found. Carefully read everything they have to say about Bac Vag and see what their recommendations are. You should also be taking probiotics daily to help your body fight the bad bacteria.
Either way, find yourself a caring GYN who can clear this up, once and for all!

Bacterial vaginosis is not a life threatening infection. However if left untreated for a very long time it can lead to Pelvic Inflammatory Diseases, Infertility and complications during pregnancy. 4 years is a long time and you must attend to the problem immediately.
Have you considered natural cures for treating bv? YOu have not give details of the 11 treatment that you have undergone.
BV responds very well to natural cures and it is definitely worth a try if you wish to get rid of the infection permanantly
