i have had bacterial vaginosis for about 6 months and the doctor gave me metro-gel but i am scared to use it, i dont know why.has anyone used it and what does it feel like? does it burn the first time you insert the medicine? please tell me what it does. I think you have to use it for five days or so. I am tired of having bv but i am scared to use the medicine.

Medications inserted into the vagina cause fewer side effects than oral medications, (per http://www.webmd.com)
look it up…from What I have read, you need to use it and get well…
I have had a bacterial infection before, and I don’t remember what it was the Dr gave me, but it worked great! It’s definitely better to use it than to keep on with an infection that has been there for six months! Doesn’t it smell? Yuck! I’d certainly use it.
The only thing I can remember is some slight leaking from the gel coming out a little when I stood up, so get some panty liners.
The pharmacy should have given you a sheet with the side effects. If not, call the pharmacist and just ask!
