does putting yogurt in your vagina really cure bacterial vaginosis?

I’m pregnant, and I have bv and a yeast infection, but the doc won’t treat it till the second trimester. Does yogurt really work, cause I’m gonna go crazy if I have to itch another second.

That’s kinda silly. Eating yogurt is often recommended because of the probiotics. Try to find a probiotic supplement instead. I know a good one is at Costco; I don’t know if you have any of those around. Probiotics will increase the good bacteria in your body, which will fight against the bad bacteria to get rid of your problem. A great thing is it won’t have any ill effects on your child; it will actually probably increase the baby’s good bacteria so that it can fight off bad bacteria as well. Remember, not all bacteria is bad, despite what doctors lead you to believe.
hello Jessica, I have heard that it does work
whilst yogurt does have ‘friendly bacteria’ i dont think it will make the problem any worse but so its worth a try, get ur boyfriend to help he can….spread it for you
yes it does work but you need to make sure its the non flavor yougurt…it should be white…just put some on a tampon and put it in…
Yes apply plain unflavored yogurt in your vagina for relief from bv
