Also, do you run a fever when you have a bacterial infection?

Lymph nodes may or may not swell in both bacterial and viral infections.
Fevers may or may not occur with bacterial infections.
It all depends on whether or not you have a systemic inflammatory response, if the infection has flared up your whole body’s immune response. If it is localized, you may not have a fever.
lymph nodes can swell with either bacterial or viral, your lymph nodes is part of the immune system and aide in filtering out the bad stuff both viral and bacterial.
