Could i have gotten a bacterial vaginosis from my partner?

went to the doctor and he prescribed me Cleocin cream to be used for 7 days for bacterial vaginosis.could i have gotten it from my patner?nas is it a sexual trasmitted disease? and has anyone used cleocin?thanks.

I had BV before and you can’t get it from your partner. You could however get it from having continous sex. At the time i got it, my boyfriend and I was having contant sex. In addition it is caused by an overgrowth on bacteria in your body. I lot of females get BV. I did not take the medicine you had. I can’t remember what i took, but it was two huge pills daily. But it was gone withing 7 days. Good Luck!
mY DR. TOLD ME THAT STRESS CAUSES BV OR CLEANING FROM BACK TO FRONT CAUSES IT TOO. NO YOU CANT GET IT FROM YOUR PARTNER IS NOT AN STD
