Every time I have my period (before during and after) my vagina burns like a hot 3rd degree sunburn all around the opening. Unfortunately these burns are becoming more frequent and longer each time.
My gynecologist gave me some tests and the results were negative for bacteria and yeast. I’m 20 years old and a virgin. I am around 200lbs and type 2 diabetes runs in my family but my family doctor said that I don’t have it. I use Kirkland hypoallergenic soap and I don’t masturbate. I haven’t used tampons in years because they hurt and intensify cramps. Needless to say Paps are hell. I do use birth control because I’m a really heavy bleeder and a pms monster. I have lots of little stringy clots all throughout my bleeding. I’m way too young to have menopause and I only drink water, lots of it. My discharge is normal and sometimes, only after I eat tuna, does it smell.
What could it be??? I hate having these periodic burns (no itching thank God) and I don’t know what’s causing them. I know I’m going to have sex at least once in my life (with my one-in-a-million guy who sees past the 200lbs) and I want it to be pleasurable or at least tolerable. i can’t run away forever and I don’t want my condition to cause any more problems for either of us. He doesn’t know about it yet and I want it gone before the time comes.
What should I do?
He hasn’t even touched me yet- he’s so… conflicted. really he thinks too much wondering how I will react- usually he thinks negatively, and he doesn’t do anything. once he does get the balls to ask something he says I usually surprise him with my answers. If he is scared of asking me a simple question, he is no where near getting the gumption to "eat me out".
Any who- I’m trying to say we are in the "friend stage". As in- "i like you, but I don’t want to be to forward and scare you off" kind of thing. My Vagina is untouched.

I’m taking Ampicillin 500 mg 4x/day and am on Day 2.5 and haven’t seen any changes. I know docs can do cultures to help determine the type of bacteria (long story-don’t want to involve docs), but I’m just wondering if I’m taking the right type of antibiotic to cover an array of bacterial infections and when to expect to see some kind of recovery. (I know to take all of the medication even if I feel better.)
Thanks for your help!

I would love to know if it works, and instead of spending all that money on the 3 steps to simply be told what they are!! If not then at least who has purchased it? From where? & is it safe to buy it online?
I want to know the secret to women’s never ending suffering, including mine. It would be fabulous to actually know something works for good.

I’m not sure if I have a yeast infection. I have cottage cheese-like discharge and it smells, but it doesn’t hurt to pee, I’m not itchy or it’s not swollen. I’m not sure if it’s a yeast infection of Bacterial vaginosis.
I can’t go to the doctors right now because I can’t afford the visit at the moment so I’m in a predicament.

On my 5th day of taking Metronidazole 500 Mg tablets twice daily for 7 days for a Bacterial vaginitis infection I developed a Bartholin’s Cyst on the left vulva. Now my left thigh in the groin and my left buttocks is very sore & painful. I also feel like I am trying to come down with a cold. What is going on? The antibiotic is making me feel sick or did it bring infection to a head in the form of the Bartholin’s cyst? Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

This is the third time I’ve gotten it from having sex. We’ve been having sex for a year and this just started a few weeks ago. I’m on my second 7 day round of flagyl and I was hoping that my boyfriend could be treated for it as well because I think we just keep passing it back to each other. I asked him to make a doctor’s appointment but I don’t want him to go and tell him there’s nothing they’ll do.

I just found out that I have a bacterial infection. Should I tell the guy that I’ve had unprotected sex and oral sex with to get checked? Or is it not as serious for a guy?
It’s vaginosis.
