I have Bacterial Vaginosis and went to the doctor last week and was prescribed medicine in which I finished taking a couple days ago. Although the odor has completety gone away, I still have a discharge. Will it go away? Is this just the cycle? Thanks.

Im 17 years old, never had sex but ive had this problem for about a year now. And it all happend after i started taking Yaz(birth control). I stopped taking it about 5 months ago but when i was on the pill my vagina was always wet, itchy, and had a strong odor. I went to the doctor they said it was a yeast infection so they gave me the one pill antibiotic. It didnt work so i went to a gyno and they tried to get a sample of the white/grayish discharge but they couldnt because the tool they used was so painful for me so i asked them to stop. They asked what were my syptoms and said it was bacterial vaginitis. I took the antibiotics they gave me for 7days and there is still no change. The odor is so bad when i take a shower it doesnt go away, and i make sure not to wash it with soap. What could this be?

I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis and I was wondering if my boyfriend could give the infection back to me. I spoke to the doctor and he told me that my boyfriend couldnt get bacterial vaginosis because he doesnt have a vagina lol but I was wondering if it could lead to some other type of infection..

Where is the line drown. For example if acute septic infection from streptococci is partially treated but the organisms are still in body 9 months later then is that still acute or is that still considered chronic. I know this is a strange question but please let me know.

My girlfriend was diagnosed with chlamydia twice, once in March and then again in July. Apparently, she wasn’t fully treated the first time. In July, she started taking Yaz bc pills. This past week she was diagnosed by an ER physician with bacterial vaginitis. The doctor put her on the antibiotic flagyl. I have two questions concerning the situations. We had unprotected sex afterward. What are the chances of pregnancy while she is taking both Yaz and this antibiotic? Secondly, could the occurrence of chlamydia twice, and possibly during the months intervening, render her sterile? Thanks for the help.
