this is my second time having a yeast infection and it seems worst this time . i am not sexually active what-so-ever , . i did go to the doctor and she did say that i had a yeast infection , i was treated and it went away for a while , then it returned. the itching is unbearable . the more i scratch , the more it burns . Im not trying to be too graphic , but my discharge is thick and white , it also smells just like yeast . It cant be bacterial vaginosis because im a virgin , im not sexually active in any type of way . im getting really frusturated because even after i shower , it’s still there and it is not a good feeling . it makes me feel filthy . what should i do ? i tried monostat 7 day treatment and i missed a few days so it didnt help at all . I got diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis got treated with flagil & metrogel twice allready, but the smell keeps coming back. I also got tested for STD’s and HIV just to make sure and everything came back negative. The odor gets worse after intercourse the funky odor goes away while taking treatment but a few weeks after it comes back. The odor is driving me insane is killing my sex life. Is there anything else I can do or take for it? Pls. I need help

I’ve have light brown discharge after my period, that has turned into white milky dishcharge. I’ve researched and see that this can be a cause of BV (Bacteria Vaginosis).

However, I also read that this can be a cause of cervitiies (an infection of the cervix).

Can someone help me? Has this happened to you?

Is something I need to schedule an emergency appointment for?

I’m scared about it spreading, and not sure how long I may have had this, and reading all these medical websites makes me nervous and makes me think I have something else. I’ve had the same partner for the last 6 years, and tht’s the only partner.

My doctor can’t see me for another 11 days, is that too long?

Does it ever go away on it’s own? How do you know it really went away and just isn’t laying around in there?

I am sooooo worried, and just want to know how much longer I can do without treatment?

Had a check up yesterday… 29 weeks preggo… told the doc about a yeast infection I felt coming on, so she did an exam and turns out I had both a yest infection AND bacterial vaginosis (I have NO CLUE how I got it)…

Anyway, I was prescribed Clindesse vaginal insert (an antibiotic) for the BV (which I took last night) and 1 dose pill of Diflucan for the yeast infection (havent taken it yet). Now I know from experience that antibiotics cause yeast infections… so should I wait until the 5 days is up for the BV treatment to fully work before I take the Diflucan? I don’t want to take it just to have the yeast infection return from taking the antibiotics.

I have a persistent one doctor described it as fishy, I think it smells like spoilt yoghurt odor for at least three months.
My test results indicate that I do not have Bacterial Vaginosis, Candiasis, Trichomoniasis or any STDS. But the last time I checked, a fishy odor generally means BV, even the doctor said she can’t explain why I would have the odor if I do not have BV but she refuses to treat me because of the lab results.

1) Possible that I may have BV despite what the labs say (I got tested at two different labs on two separate occasions + my cervical smear was good)
2) If she puts me on the weeklong antibiotic treatment for BV what’s the worse that can happen?
This has been going on for more than a year and I am worried that I might actually become infertile (not to mention it is a pain in the ass and I cannot have a sex life.)

I have been ill since March.I was treated for bacterial vaginosis after losing my virginity. I took the antibiotics faithfully.
Then i ended up with a yeast infection, but this new doctor thought I had gonorrhea or chlymydia and gave me a shot and 4 pills.
This stupid doctor was supposed to wait for the lab results to come back but instead she gave me a shot and 4 antibiotic pills all on the same day and the infection grew worse.The lab results came back and it turned out that I didn’t have gonorrhea or chlymydia.

So this doctor gave me a shot and 4 pills that I didn’t need.
Then they gave me a one day yeast infection pill and the yeast infection stayed. They held off on giving me anymore antibiotic pills.So I went pill free with yeast infection for 2 weeks under their advice.I tried the over the counter 7 day yeast infection treatment and it still didnt go away.

I have a new doctor and she said she dont like the way my cervix looks.

My parents say my cervix may appear to look funny because when she examined me it was the week before I came on my period and it also may be the fact that those stupid doctors kept on doping me up with all those antibiotics and I received a shot and 4 pills that I didnt even need, That stupid doctor was supposed to wait till the lab results came back.She just shot me up and gave me 4 pills before the lab results even came back.I knew I didn’t have no gonorrhea or chlymydia.Me and my ex had the sense to use protection so I knew it wasn’t chlymydia or gonorrhea but this doctor thought she knew it all and gave me stuff I didn’t need.

But my new doctor said she doesn’t like the way my cervix looks.
I am so scared.
If I have cancer I will be so sad.It will be such a huge blow if I have cancer.I know that doctors can freeze my eggs so I can have kids and I know chemo is usually successful, but it will still be a huge blow.

I have had a yeast infection since the middle of March because of these stupid doctors at this hospital

And me and my current boyfriend had sex 5 days before I was examined.I know that I shouldn’t have had sex considering I still had the yeast infection but my hormones was talking.We used protection.
After intercourse he pointed out that I was bleeding and bleeding.
I read that having sex while having a yeast infection can cause blood.

Is it possible that my cervix looks the way it does from the trauma of having sex?
My body is still kind of new to sex.

She examined me the week before my period. Does the look of the reproductive organs change the week before the period?

I’m just really scared that she is going to say the big dreaded C word to me.

I have never had the human papilloma virus which is the virus that causes cervical cancer.

I’ve been feeling strange for the past few days. Saturday night I kept having panic attacks and was crying uncontrolably for hours. Sunday I was an emotional mess. My boyfriend is scared out of his mind. Today I feel like any second I’m about to pass out and vomit. I have bacterial vaginosis and am on 500 mg flagyl twice a day. I’ve taken it before but have never been like this. My mom thinks my period is coming which it may because of the flagyl but I’m on seasonique and my period isn’t due for a month. They’re testing me for a bladder infection and doubt I have an STD but are testing anyway. I also recently had a vaginal yeast infection. I am in treatment for my depression and anxiety. I have therapy tonight and see my psychiatrist tomorrow. I can call for my test results at any time. What do you think could be making me this sick? I also have chronic fatigue syndrome and chronic pain (abdominal). Any ideas as to what it is or what I should do? Thanks.

I have never had a yeast infection before. I’ve had bacterial vaginosis once several years ago and had no symptoms at that time. So this is completely new to me.

The symptoms I’m experiencing include a sore and slightly swollen vaginal area (sore and swollen labia, and soreness around the vaginal opening), these areas sting and burn when I urinate, but there is no actual pain from the urethra. It is also painful to touch and move. I am menstruating at the moment so it’s hard to gauge the discharge but prior to menstruation I had a dry white discharge that would ball up (this is normal for me before my period) and it was a little bit itchy (which it does occasionally with that kind of discharge). There has never been any odour.

I have considered several options from STD’s to having accidentally scratched myself (which has happened but was not nearly this painful) to an allergic reaction to a new type of tampon I’ve tried this cycle, but I’m really thinking it may be a yeast infection.

I’m unable to see a doctor at this time, so I’m considering just buying an OTC yeast infection treatment, but I’d like to know if anyone has any other suggestions as to what it could be?

Just to update, I got an OTC treatment, and it’s already helping! Thank you all for your advice!

I have been getting a lot vaginal discharge. It looks brown and it smells very unpleasant like a fish smell. I have no other symptoms. The first time I went to the doctor’s, she told me it was a yeast infection and she prescribed me a couple of anti fungal tablets and cream but that didn’t work. The second time I went, she told me I had Bacterial Vaginosis and gave me 14 Metroidazole tablets. I am currently taking it and have only 2 tablets left but it doesn’t look like it’s beginning to clear at all. Okay I admit I haven’t been following the directions that well. When it says take one tablet twice daily sometimes I only took one because I forgot maybe that’s why my treatment isn’t effective. Should I try antibiotics? Im scared because this may harm my reproductive system. I am a virgin btw. What do you think I have?
