I was just diagnosed with it and tonight will be my 3rd night but I still have a bit of discharge and smell, is the medicine not working or does it still take the full 5 days (im doing the gel insertion treatment) and with BV did you feel like you have to pee a lot too?

I was recently diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis (bv) and am on antibiotics (metrogel) for treatment. I know that antibiotics can cause other problems and even lead to other infections like yeast infections afterwards- the doctor did not give me anything to take for yeast afterwards. I was wondering if anyone has taken treatment for bv and successfully avoideded a yeast infection afterwards or if i am doomed to have one.

My case is a mild one and doctor said bv isnt sexually trasmitted and has to do with the vagina’s defense system perturbation. I’m not a nympho or anything but due to work i havent slept with my boyfriend for 10 days now, i have a ten days therapy and after that i’m going to have my period! do you think it’s medically accepted for me to sllep with my bf now or it will set back the treatment?

Does anyone have any reviews about how the first over-the-counter BV treatment works? Also, would it be safe if I used it at the ending stage of my menstrual cycle? I can tell my vaginal ph is off by my discharge and slight odor and I’d like to try the product asap. All reviews are appreciated.
