I wanted to see if rephresh pro-b would help with my bacterial vaginosis, but now that i know its .00 PER FUCKING PILL…. i’m shit out of luck.

My doctor prescribed this metronidazole gel for my bacterial vaginosis. It seemed to have worked very and got rid of my infection, and I know this because the fishy smell, and greyish cervical mucous is gone. My concern now is that I am done the 5 day treatment and I now have this very thick very white discharge. What I think it is, is the gel collecting all the bad stuff and pushing it all out. Sorry for the TMI! I also have a very very slight almost not even there, itch. I was wondering if anyone else ever used this medication and had the same effect after treatment. It really is not bothersome. It is just there and I wanted to hear some personal experiences. Thank you for all your help.

I think I have it but I have like no money & no insurance. Theres no free clinic close enough so that is also out of the question. i want to know of a home remedy or a over the counter one. & plz dont direct me to that bv cure website. I’ve tried washing frequently but now that I am sexually active it is getting worse & its not an std I know

My doctor put me on the 7-day Flagyl regimen for Bacterial Vaginosis… today is day 7 and I have not had any improvement in my symptoms. I called my doctor this morning and she is prescribing the same treatment for another week, but I am not hopeful. Can anyone tell me what the chances are of Flagyl not working, and what the chances are that it will work the second week.

I’m extremely itchy, i have a dodgy discharge (which doesn’t smell like Vaginosis but it isn’t my usual) and I’m very sore and dry. I tare very easily during sex and i’ve become quite de-sensitised down there. In fact, i haven’t been able to enjoy sex properly since i got this infection. As for him going down on me, i daren’t let him and he thinks theirs something wrong with my feelings towards him!

I’ve been with him for 4 years and feel i can trust him so Sexually Transmitted Disease’s aren’t an issue at all. Sexually Transmitted Infection’s in myself however have been quite common. I suffer from Bipolar and during an episode where i experienced extreme Irritable Bowel Syndrome, i had a persistent Thrush which took several treatments to get rid of. Not a year after i managed to get rid of that i had even worse symptoms and i got a diagnosis of Bacterial Vaginosis in 2007. Luckily that cleared pretty soon after treatment.

In 2008, i started to get some similar symptoms after i’d had the coil fitted and assumed it would be one of the two. I took myself off to the GUM and had some tests. The problem is, they can’t find anything! I had tests for everything, still nothing at all.

I was fobbed off and told maybe this is normal for me! Also, another Gyno said that maybe i have low levels of thrush and some people have to live with it all their lives!!!! But i swear to god it’s not normal, this is not a case of low levels and i feel rubbish. It’s constantly ruining my life and my relationship with my boyfriend is suffering…..as for my twenties being my best sex years, this is pathetic!

If the GUM can’t find it, what do i do?
I spoke to a Doctor who told me they aren’t trained to do that sort of tests and to go to the GUM to see a gyno so it was circular really!
Theirs no abuse. The tearing is simply because i’m so dry and sore!

I’ve done everything in the book. No soaps, wear only cotton underwear, wash or dry from front to back, lay off sugared food!

My GP was useless and sent me to the GUM and they sent me back to my GP.

I give in!

my sister is asking me coz she thinks she had a vaginal infection, she dont know if its bacterial vaginosis or from yeast infection..she dont even want to go to doctor even i insist her coz shes afraid..she said she really discharged a lot, kinda cheeselike appearance in like in yeast infection but its not smelly like in bacterial vaginosis.shes in monogamy relationship..she want to try over the counter treatment but dont know the right drug for her..what would u advice

abut a week ago going through a vaginal treatment with a creme for pregnant women for bacterial vaginosis and now after a week and some I have it again .. ( i am pregnant so i have not been using condoms ) could it be that I am allergic to semen ? like ? I hate this I just wanna be clean and feel clean I did for a week then it came back ! GOD I feel so dirty I can have a shower and the smell is immidiate after getting out of the shower !
anyone with same experience please help me out do i go back for teh same treatment is there anything else i can do ?! to avoid it .. ( no i can not stop sexual intercourse ) but I could start using condoms even though its nice with out them

Alright thisis VERY emabarassing .. but ohwell every woman gets it at least once in their life time.
I cannot tell if i have got BV ( bacterial Vaginosis ) or a Yeast infection.
Well i found these 6 day Pills to treat BV and it seemed to be working , the smell was leaving but the discharge is still there , but now it its "cottage-cheese" like,And i am no RARELY getting a bit of itching no buring ( i have a high pain tolerance so i dont noticed alot of things /Like-breaking a finger) ,so im thinking somehow it could have changed to a yeast infection , i dont know if i should go to the store , get a Yeast infection treatment , see how it works , or call my doctor and ask for a BV treatment over the phone. My doctor is #1 stupid and #2 hes booked right yup.
