The ‘entrance’ of my vagina kinda itches/burns. This is my third day with these symptoms and the irritation is just minor. Also there is absolutely no discharge or anything of that source except for this weird smell that emerges only when i pee. I was reading and saw yest infections and bacterial vaginosis or something like that but i don’t think this is it. Could it just be irritated?

I’ve had all kinds of infections over the past year. I’m very hygienic but i keep getting them again and again. I am sexually active. My partner is not exhibiting any symptoms, is clean and is monogamous. I’ve had Bacterial Vaginosis about twice, UTI’s about four times, fungal once and yeast about twice. Its driving me crazy and i don’t want to get them anymore. Any tips? Any reasons apart from hygiene (to which i have mentioned) that could be causing this? Medical students/practitioners’ opinions would be welcomed.

I’ve used to use Vaginal Deodorants every night before I go to sleep and even before sex and then I started to douche with it too. I must have over douche and that gave me a (UTI) infection. After I drink tons of Organic Cranberry Juice it got healed but then I notice a STRONG FISHY unusual discharge. Being afraid, I did tons of research and I think I have Bacterial Vaginosis.

Yes, I am sexually active but I’ve only been with my boyfriend ever since. He does not have any sign of infection.

I am so scared that I might have gotten the disease (STD). My boyfriend might be thinking that I might have cheated on him.

I’m all out of hope and scared. I hope it’s not symptoms of HIVS or AIDS.

because the doctor thought i might have bacterial vaginosis and she gave me medicine for it but i got the symptoms back from it…the only symptom i have is it doesnt smell very pleasent down there…(sorry for too much information but i need to kno)

ok, i was peeing, and when i wiped, it had a fishy odor. so i went on the computer and found out that i could possibly have bacterial vaginosis. my symptoms match the ones that were described in many articles i read. so im pretty sure i have it. what kind of remedies can i use to treat it?

I read somewhere that your sexual partner (male) can be a carrier.. that he won’t have symptoms (obviously, a male couldn’t have bacterial vaginosis), but can be the cause and carrier, and that he can be treated for this as well if it’s discovered that he’s causing such infections. Is this true? I got a UTI after my boyfriend and I had sexual intercourse about 3 1/2-4 months ago, and after a few sessions about 3-4 weeks ago, I just found out today that I have bacterial vaginosis. Shortly after our last time, I felt a bit of itching and had my gyno call in a prescription for a yeast infection because I thought that’s what I had.. the itching went away though, so I never took it, but then I got the call today about this. We’re both monogamous and whatnot, I have no STD’s or anything of the sort, nor am I worried about that, I just want to know if he’s possibly carrying around some sort of bacteria or something that could be causing these minor infections and if so, if there’s a way he can be treated for it. Also, if there is a way to be treated for it, what exactly would his test consist of (urine swab, blood test, urine sample, etc.)? I just yelled at him for it, so I’m hoping I’m right lol.
I just went to my gnyo earlier this week.. this is how I know I have bacterial vaginosis.. No STD’s.. everything is normal as it always has been. & to clear some of this up, I called and had them call in a prescription for a yeast infection about 2-3 weeks back, before I even had my appt. assuming that’s what it was.. I hadn’t gone to the Dr’s to make sure, so the case is that I probably had the BV all along, because I know some yeast infection symptoms are very similar to some of BV.

I’ve gotten bv 3 times in the past month(treated twice). My boyfriend and I have been having sex for a year now and anytime we have unprotected sex whether he finishes inside of me or not I get bad symptoms about 3 hours later.

I was wondering if they will treat my boyfriend for it too, I heard they can give him the same prescription as me in case he’s carrying the bacteria.

He made an appointment for tomorrow but I don’t want him to do all of that if they’re just not going to do anything… Should he be doing anything?

I went to the doctor because I noticed a foul smelling vaginal discharge. I had slight itching and it was a little thicker than usual. I was thinking it was bv and told my doc all of this and she asked if I wanted to have an STD screening which I did and the results were negative. Since the visit, the symptoms seem to have disappeared. I thought it was bv, then I thought maybe I have a latex allergy because I had recently had sex using a latex condom and noticed the symptoms shortly afterwards but all the info I read said nothing about an odor so I wasn’t sure. Please serious responses.
