i came across different discharges down there the other month…i came across thin discharge and abit ichy..also abit smelly (fishy). i thought it was a yeast infection, i went to the doctors they said i might have bacterial vaginosis..so they took a swab and some of my urine and they were going to send it to the lab and get it tested for the most common STD’s, bacterial vaginosis, yeast infection, and some others… but i was half way through my period when she tested me so i dont know how they got on testing that..but the doctor said she could still test me.. so i got my results back and everything was clear as the doctor said .. but i have still noticed werid discharge and the inchyness is starting to come back slighty… i have been toliet twice today and theres just been clumps of white runny discharge sitting on parts of my vig …. and it just sits there and it becomes to get ichy and uritating so i have to go to the toilet and wipe..

what could this be? and no im not a virgin ive had sex before but the doctor tested me for all the std’s and i was clear
im abit lost and abit worryed as i know these sorts of things can affect my ovaries as i wanna have children when i get older. if this wasnt the case i wouldnt be worryed.
please help
should i put a tampon in to get all this white stuff that is comming out? as i dont think its a good idea all this discharge is just laying around my vig? at least it will stop it from comming out and stop the ichyness

I have been checked for all STDs except for herpes. I have never had an outbreak, as far as I know, but I hear sometimes there are no outbreaks. Just subtle symptoms.

Well here’s the thing—I’ve been having reoccuring yeast infections for over a year now. At least that’s what i THINK they are. I’ve even been tested for yeast infections at the doctors a few times, and it always comes up positive. But I heard even doctors can mistaken herpes for Yeast infections.

I don’t have much itching or pain when I have yeast infections. In fact, practically no itching and definitely no pain. And I also don’t have any odor, so I –know its not bv–bacterial vaginosis. And the strangest part—is that there’s not even usually a discharge anymore. The white, clumpy stuff kind of clings to the walls now, and I would have to put a finger inside to pull it out.

If you have herpes, do you have these kinds of symptoms?
IMPORTANT: Whenever I use monistat or dyflucan or any other yeast infection medicine, the infection either doesn’t go away or only goes away for a few days.

I’ve had many yeast infections in the past 5 months or so, I’ve also had a bladder infection and bacterial vaginosis once. The infection(s) keep coming back even after I’ve been treated with pills, and monostat. What do I do now? I don’t really want to go back to the same doctor for the 4th time for the same reasons all over again. But I keep wondering why I keep getting infections? I recently just started a new birth control pill because that last one didn’t work with my system and made me have two periods that month. So basically, as of right now, it’s really irritated and itchy, and i noticed white, and yellow discharge. What does all this mean and what could it be this time?

I have all the symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis, but the causes are sexual intercourse and douching… I do neither. Is it still possible that I could have Bacterial Vaginosis if I don’t do those things? I’m almost positive I have it.

I AM a virgin. I have looked into my symptoms and i have narrowed it down to 3 things:
1- bacterial vaginosis
2- UTI
3-yeast infection
im 12, and i have experienced these symptoms for awhile. Plus i sometimes have a male doctor and i dont want him swabbing down there. i have an appointment this wendsday at my pediatrician.

Well I currently have bacterial vaginosis (I am still a virgin meaning I NEVER had sex at all). The thing is I’m responding the the antibiotics, but then it comes back again. My gyno has referred me to an infectious disease specialist. Usually, I am very healthy (no cancer, diabetes, etc.). I do get stressed out very easily because I have anxiety issues but I don’t think that that would be causing this burden to come up again. I’ve heard that it can cause pelvic inflammatory disease (PID) and I am so scared because I don’t want that to happen. I have never responded to metronidazole (flagyl) well, so I was pissed when my gyno recommended that I take it anyway. Took it, still had bv so then gave me cleocin. Cleocin worked great but shortly afterwards I started having symptoms again. I know it’s bv because before I got the medicine for Cleocin, the nurse called me the very next day saying that it indeed is bacterial vaginosis. The only symptoms I have right now are some burning during urination (NO, it’s NOT a UTI), and a little itching and some burning. My appt to see the infectious disease specialist isn’t until the 24th. I want to call my gyno to see if they can give me one more round of cleocin, but not sure. What do I do?

God this scares me…

… That I have a vagina infection. I’ve looked up all my symptoms and they match the symptoms of Bacterial Vaginosis. I’m only eleven years old, I don’t even have my period yet. Me and my mom are not that close and I feel SUPER uncomfortable telling her. It might sound corny to you but I feel so terrified to tell her. I really want to be healthy and safe and I have had the infection for a while, about eight months… is that bad? I am only eleven and I don’t feel like she’s ready for me to have such a serious problem. Is there any possible way that I can calm down and just tell her without crying and breaking down like I almost did? Thank you so much and PLEASE don’t tell me to "just do it."
I know for sure it’s an infection. I have a fishy smell and yellow discharge. I think I might have gotten the infection when I went a long time without washing down there, I know it sounds crazy and nasty but it’s true. And please stop saying rude things.

TOTALLY GROSS QUESTION.. you have been warned

I recently went on the contreceptive pill (about a week ago)
I have important exams at the moment (really stressed and not much time to sort this out, plus hours of sitting working/in exams with itchy va jay jay)
Recently lost my virginity (I’m old enough and in love haha don’t worry)
*I havn’t had unprotected sex*

Symptoms include:
– Itching, soreness and redness around the vagina (really red and really itchy)
- Cottage cheese discharge
- Little bit swollen
- Pain when peeing
- Pain when having sex (recently lost my virginity, thought it was still this pain, had NO IDEA about possibility of infection, know all about giving my bf an oral capsuale to treat it if it is a yeast infection)

You may be thinking… well it is obviously a yeast infection as you have all the syptoms AND the 3 possible causes with stress, the pill AND sex

BUT…
Whilst having sex I also noticed I had a slightly fishy smell, very very mild, not really foul or unpleasent, a bit like skips! (the crisps, and as you have guessed I will never be eating those again)

I know that this is actually a symptom of Bacterial vaginosis. However the discharge is not fishy at all, just yeasty smelling and I have only ever smelled it that once just afer sex!

Any advice

Ps. I am going to get some Canestan Duo tomorrow, as soon as the chemist opens!
Pps. I am going to get an STI test even though Ive never had unprotected sex just to be double sure after my exams are over on Tuesday

about a month ago I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. I got put on meds and it took it away but then I think it came back. I had sex with my boyfriend last Saturday and we used protection and pulled out. I got my period that Monday. my symptoms came back this Sunday. is there any chance I could be pregnant? even though I got my period.
