while my boyfriend and i were doing it i could feel tearing and it hurt real bad, so i just coulndt find the energy and the relief from pain to get up and go wash up afterwards so i fell asleep.i woke up with symptoms of a uti, went to the doctor but the test came back negative! after that i left the subject alone but still felt funny, i developed symptoms of a yeast infection ;cheesy discharge , bread odor. but over time the odor has gotten horrible, is this bacterial vaginosis or an sti?

For a year now I’ve had the same symptoms of what the doctor told me was BV, bacterial vaginosis. My vagina has a strong odor of ammonia and I can smell it through my clothes and my discharge goes through my underwear and sometimes my clothes. I’ve gotten antibiotics for it at least 3 times and I shower everyday. It is painful, itchy, and sometimes swells. Also, I have had many STD checks just to make sure and everything seems to be fine with that. It’s really affecting my life.

I was recently diagnosed with Bacterial Vaginosis. I’m so afraid of getting it again and not knowing, since my symptoms were extremely mild this first time. I was considering buying one of these kits. Are they expensive? Do they come with multiple "test strips" or whatever? Can I get them at Wal-Mart, Target, or CVS/Walgreens?

sometimes indicates chlamydia but she didn’t think that was the case with me because I have no symptoms, if that’s not the case than what else could it be? She went ahead and treated me but said she thought that wasn’t what she thought was going on. Abdominal tenderness is all the symptoms I am having and just not feeling well. She said shes sure it isn’t Gonorrhea and its not bacterial vaginosis.

So I was on Flagyl for Bacterial Vaginosis. Well… the symptoms have mostly gone away, but I still have a slight itching…but I think its because I’ve been messing around with my genitals so much because I’ve been paranoid that I still have BV or a yeast infection. I starting eating yogurt today. I guess I’m so paranoid because I’m planning to have a big night tomorrow…if you know what I mean… we won’t be having intercourse, but still, I don’t want to have to be like no I think I have an infection What do you guys think?
I should add that I was on Flagyl before for Bacterial Vaginosis and never got a yeast infection… I’ve also been on a daily antibiotic before and numerous other antibiotics and never gotten a yeast infection. I applied some Lotrimin cream which has an antifungal the doctor told me to use if I ever got a yeast infection from antiobiotics… I put it on like twice and then stopped because I was afraid I’d bring the BV back… -\

(bacterial vaginosis)? I noticed symptoms Friday, but we haven’t seen each other since then b/c our work schedules were so bad. He was coming in when I was leaving and vice versa… I told him today when we finally saw each other and he wanted to get frisky. He later said very sweetly, "You should’ve told me on the phone [that you had BV]. It bothers me."

What did "it bothers me" mean?

…That he was worried about me and my health? That he was disappointed we couldn’t have sex for a few days? That he was upset that I kept something from him on the phone? or something else?

I did want to tell him on the phone, but I don’t know why I didn’t…

its only when i pee that i notice anything. today it was a bit worse tho. i went to the ER and they ran a bunch of tests. apparently i have a bladder infection, bacterial vaginosis, and theyre running blood tests to make sure im not goin thru a miscarriage or anything. wouldnt symptoms be different for a miscarriage tho?

my OBGYN is being a hard headed jerk. Let me explain! I went in 2 weeks ago for the complaint of symptoms of a yeast infection. She took cultures and sure enough when they came back they were positive for candida (a vaginal yeast infection) while there, i also had her do std testing and they all came back negative! She prescribed me diflucan and I took it accordingly. While on the diflucan my menstrual cycle had came. It was bad enough a yeast infection and my period!! After a few days of my period i noticed a fishy smell and a thin white discharge. It was Bacterial vaginosis, caused by the upset in my vaginal flora due to the yeast infection and blood from my menstrual cycle. When i called her office to request anti biotics to cure this infection the nurse told me she wanted me to come back in for cultures. I had no problem with coming back in but then she told me she couldnt get me in for another three weeks!! I was wondering if there was anything i could do to cure this infection myself. 3 weeks is a very long time to have this kind of infection and i already do not feel good, I have had no change in sex partner and we are both faithful. what can i do to treat myself?

Ok Well I SOMETIMES have yellow/green discharge that is non painful, smells a bit and has no other associated factors. I thought it might of been BV (bacterial vaginosis) but my symptoms don’t seem to match up (except color and smell). I usually experience this color change once a month for a few days, but then its gone… I tried looking for the answer already but BV seems to be when you have constant discolored vaginal discharge. Does it go away completely and then I re-infect myself? How did I get this anyway? I am a virgin (though I do masturbate, does that do it?). Please help~

erm. i recently bought some balance activ for what i thought may be bacterial vaginosis. i have a bad smell present ‘down there’ and quite a heavy discharge. so i used the balance activ once a day for 7 days, and i have to say my discharge has become less heavy.
however. the smell is still present and now there is a white/creamy discharge there. is this thrush?
i am not sexually active therefore it cannot be an STI…
like you can’t smell the smell when i have clothes on or anything but it’s there..
any ideas? please?!
