So today when I went to the bathroom and noticed like two or three white ball (spherical) white things in my underwear. I didn’t notice any really distict odor but It was really strange. Not my regular discharge…Is it probably a yeast infection? Or manybe regular discharge that I just don’t get often ever at all?
I’ve had both a yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis monthssss ago. But It doesn’t seem like before. Although honestly even when i had a yeast infection i didn’t even have the symptoms, just of the Bacterial vaginosis(i had both at the same time).

Should I be concerned and go to a doc? What do you think this could be? Ever experienced this?

I just recently went to the gynecologist today for my first time & told them of some different symptoms that I was feeling. Slight burning when peeing sometimes (it comes & goes), some pelvic pressure & back pain on the right. And the doctor there told me that it looks like bacterial vaginosis and he prescribed Flagyl 500mg twice a day. I hate the idea of taking antibiotics because I already have a problem with heartburn & taking prevacid as well. I asked the doctor will this antibiotic affect my heartburn problems and he says "it shouldn’t" (that answer doesn’t sound too positive to me). Has anyone ever had bacterial vaginosis, what did you do to treat it & if you used the antibiotic, what were your experiences with it?

I would prefer another way to treat it that’s not orally (no pills), like maybe some kind of cream/gel?

I always go to planned parenthood whenever I have symptoms. Today they did give me the usual medication the Flagyl but the nurse told me I might have to go somewhere to get it deeper looked into but where? I have no health insurance. I don’t know what to do.

More info.. The last time I had bv (bacterial vaginosis) before this time was only 3 weeks ago.

i am two weeks late starting my period, but i started having cramps at the normal time. also, i’ve had other symptoms such as sore breasts and being tired. i just barely started to almost spot today. i am in the middle of being treated for bacterial vaginosis, and several months ago i had trichomonas (don’t know if any of this is relavent). also, this is my first cycle off the pill, so i’m thinking that would be most likely to be affecting it. but the fact that i’ve been cramping for over 2 weeks doesn’t seem right. could it be a sign of a condition, or is it just my body trying to get itself back on track after being on the pill for over a year? why the cramping for so long? (& it’s not severe or anything, just normal cramps) anyone know?
definitely not pregnant — i thought i was but the blood test was negative. i had a faint pos home test, but i looked later & it was close to expiring and may not have been stored ideally.

bacterial vaginosis? I noticed the symptoms on Friday but we haven’t seen each other since then b/c our work schedules were so bad. He was coming in when I was leaving and vice versa… I told him today when we finally saw each other and he wanted to get frisky. He later said very sweetly, "You should’ve told me on the phone [that you had BV]. It bothers me." What did "it bothers me" mean?

…That he was worried about me and my health? That he was disappointed we couldn’t have sex for a few days? That he was upset that I kept something from him on the phone? or something else?

I did want to tell him on the phone, but I don’t know why I didn’t…
No, I know he cares about me…he gave me a key to his place, his debit card and pin, showed me his pay stubs and says I can answer his phone when it rings…and other stuff. Not the actions of someone who just wants a booty call…

Around the 27th of June, I developed a very foul smelling white discharge in my vagina that would come on and off every 10-14 hours or so. I happened to have a pre-scheduled annual gyno exam that week. Everything came back normal. She tested on site for Bacterial Vaginosis and Yeast infection and I was clear on both. She also took a sample for STD/STI testing and was clear of those as well. On July 2nd, I got my period, and it lasted about 8 or 9 days. It wasn’t extremely heavy, however it was slightly painful for about 32 hours of those 8 days. Once my period FINALLY ended, the white foul smelling discharge was back and came back on and off. For the last 3 weeks I have had constant vaginal bleeding. Unlike my period, the blood never "leaks" out of my vagina, it just sits inside and is cleared when douching or masturbation or sex. But I never fill a pad or tampon, nor do I stain my underwear. Everything still smells horrible, however as I mentioned, all my tests have come back negative for infections or Sexuall transmitted problems, so I am curious as to what could be making my vagina smell and bleed like this? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much.

I have been having some bleeding/spotting after intercourse, pelvic pressure and daily menstrual cramping for a few months now so I went to the doctor this morning. I explained what was going on and she said before she even examined me that she will probably give me an antibiotic, didn’t say why. She swabbed my cervix with a q-tip and that alone made it bleed so there is obviously a problem somewhere….she said so herself.

After waiting an hour for her to look under the microscope, the nurse finally called me into her office to check out and they gave me antibiotics for bacterial vaginosis. She never said they found any bacteria and I have no symptoms of a bacterial infection…no fishy or foul odor, no abnormal discharge…nothing. The nurse said to call after the week of antibiotics if it doesn’t get better. I told her I don’t have any symptoms of what I am being treated for so how do I know when I am better? She basically shrugged her shoulders and said to make sure my husband and I don’t have intercourse while I’m on the pills, again didn’t say why. I’m not trying to put the nurse down because she seemed like the only one who knew what she was doing and they were very busy/behind schedule so I didn’t want to be there any longer (I was already there for 2 hours at this point) so I left and started planning on where to get a second opinion.

What’s really weird is one of my friends is having similar problems and her doctor diagnosed her with this too and she doesn’t have it! AND her sister was diagnosed with it and doesn’t have it! What the heck is going on with this "quick and easy" wrong diagnoses and what is wrong with me?

I have googled cervical bleeding and have ruled out many causes…no stds, no endometriosis (was checked a few years ago for that), no imflammation, no yeast infection, etc. I also googled bacterial vaginosis and the only link connected to bleeding says that "Vaginal bleeding due to Bacterial Vaginosis, although rare, is a disturbing symptom"?!

I’m sorry this is so long but I can’t stop worrying about it. My poor husband thinks I have cancer lol. I do have a very strong family history of cancer but I’m only 23 so I’m trying to think positive.

I keep getting recurrent bacterial vaganosis. I DO not have mutiple sex partners, I DO NOT douche or wear sprays, and I don’t have an std. I was married and with the same man for 5 years, still got it. Now I have been with my boyfriend for almost a year and get it after almost every period. Could my period be causing it> I am very clean. Inwas diagnosed with fibroid tumors in my uterus but I don’t think that’s it. I hate having to go pay an arm and a leg every month or two for a non insurance doc visit and then take flagyl. What could be causing this over and over and I need something to get rid of it forever. It’s embarassing!!! ONLY symptom I have is that weird smell and discharge…YUCK.

If a women was 2 to 3 weeks pregnant, to early to test positive on hpt’s and had a miscarriage could it possibly turn into an infection if all the tissue did not exit the body? Beginning on the 18th I was having sore nipples, extremely tired, nauseous, and emotional. Then when I got my period 3 days early (27th), my symptoms seemd to have stopped except for the nausea, it was very painful and irregular, only lasting about a day and half and then spotting on and off for a few days. Got a pelvic infection that I think started on the 31st forced me to go into the er on the 2nd.Tested NEGATIVE for BV, (Bacterial Vaginosis) and std’s so its NOT std’s. Was told the BV test could have given a false negative. Dr. did pregnancy test but negative. So were all the other tests, so they don’t know what exactly caused it thought it could have been BV. I know woman need to be pregnant for a certain amount of time for it to show up on the tests. Dr.’s put me on two different antibiotics and shot
Dr.’s also did altrasound, ct scan, pelvic exam and ct scan-would anything show on these if it was that early?

I had Bacterial Vaginosis and I started taking acidophilus tablets a couple of days ago. It worked great, I still have minor symptoms but they’re clearing up fast. Should I continue to take them even when the symptoms are gone???
