Bacterial Vaginosis

The Shocking Truth About How Often Conventional Treatment Fails And Leads To Even Worst Bacterial Vaginosis

Bacterial Vaginosis Symptoms Archives

however i always find metronidazole does not agree with me at all and i dont really like taking antibiotics anyway. so i bought Clearblue Activgel from the internet. Its a vaginal gel that you insert every night for 7 days and it is meant to restore the vaginas pH to normal and hopefully getting rid of the BV. im nearly finished the course and I have noticed the symptoms seem to have gone. Has anyone else tried this, and do you think it is safe not to take the antibiotics???

I’ve been suffering from bv for a couple months now. I’ve tried a couple of OTC products, but they only seem to temporarily relieve the symptoms, not cure it completely. My last resort would be to go to a doctor but I also heard people say that doctors prescriptions didn’t really do anything.. Since I don’t have health insurance and going to a doctor would cost me an amount of money I can barely afford, I want to make sure that paying a visit to the doctor will give me results. Also, what prescription drugs for bv are relatively cheap but give fast, lasting results? Thank you.

Can't get rid of bacterial vaginosis?

Alright. I’ve been dating this guy/trying to date for a while now that I’ve been emotionally involved with for over a year, and we’ve had sex about 3 times since February. Once I didn’t have any problems, the second time I got a BV infection and treated it (March) and now the third time I think I’m getting symptoms (slight irritation on outer labia, excessive discharge again (but I always seem to have -alot- of discharge normally). I don’t use a condom normally, because I’m allergic to latex and polyurethane are expensive, and he doesn’t come in me (I was on BC those times we did have sex, however). The thing is, he has a gf (Yeah, I know, I’m dealing with it at the moment. I don’t need any moralistic answers, I need answers to the problem at hand). They don’t have sex very often because their relationship is really weird and strange that way, but I haven’t asked (an quite frankly don’t want to ask because the jealousy kicks in, but might have to anyways). Is it possible that he’s passing the infection back and forth, and it’s just not affecting her or something? This is really frustrating as my vagina is just super sensitive to anything I put in it–go on antibiotics, bam, yeast infection. Use latex condoms, bam, yeast infections. Use nonoxyl-9 spermicide, yeast infection. I only have 3 days left of college, so I’ll be going back home to Tennessee and I have a doctor there so I might get it checked out there again, but I was just curious on you guy’s input.
Sorry Jazmin, cranberry juice alone does not kill bacteria. It helps prevent the staph bacteria from attaching to your bladder wall through tannins, which in layman’s terms block the little arms from hanging on and so you excrete them. I’ve been taking cranberry supplements for a long while recently to stave off a UTI.

Tips to get rid of bacterial vaginosis?

I think I’ve had this problem for at least a month now. I’ve gone to the er three times, and seen a doctor twice. At the er they gave me antibiotics, and my doctor told me to take less of the pills than they told me to take at the er. It did not clear up completely, so I went to the free clinic to get different antibiotics. So far, it’s gotten better but I only have two days left of my pills and I don’t know if that’s going to clear it up. I’m still having some of the symptoms(discharge), and I’m having some pain(don’t know if that’s normal). It’s seriously ruining my life. I’ve developed anxiety because of it, and my boyfriend and I have not been able to have sex in over a month.
I’m asking if there’s anyone on here who has had this problem before and knows how to get rid of it for good, without taking antibiotics or putting yogurt in my vagina.

Does this sound like Bacterial Vaginosis?

Right, the story is this: For the last 7 years or so, I have had very sensitive "lady-parts". I suffered with thrush a couple of times and since then I haven’t been quite the same. I’ve had problems on and off ever since then and I’ve self treated for thrush but I’m not convinced it’s always been thrush as I haven’t had the thick discharge. My symptoms are itching and soreness externally and internally – I’ve had a discharge but it’s not been thick and thrush like, it’s been just a normal coloured discharge and I haven’t been aware of a smell. The last couple of times I’ve had it, right now and last month, I’ve had a brownish discharge and been I’ve been having stomach cramps like I’m about to start my period – I’m on the pill (Cilest) and I don’t finish taking my pill until Wednesday and I’m not due to start my period until next Saturday (I’m normally as regular as clockwork). Last month I was 2 days late starting my period. I’m so itchy and uncomfortable though and it’s really getting me down – it’s affecting my sex life with my husband and just affecting my everyday life as I’m so sore. Any ideas?
I’ve been using Femfresh wipes and the feminine wash for a while now and I’m always careful when washing the "lady-parts"! I always wear cotton knickers etc.

Do I have BV? (Bacterial Vaginosis)?

Hi. I’ve been taking antibiotics a lot lately. Also lots of UTI’s (still waiting on those results, I had to get an ultrasound of my bladder & Kidneys). But for a few weeks now, there has been a STRONG sort of fishy odor coming from down there, but only while I’m having sex with my BF of 3 years. I do not have any STD’s, I get checked regularly and my BF & I have been monogamous. I’ve had this before, and it was sort of the same smell, only this time it’s a bit worse. It’s so embarrassing. Is it a good idea to buy medication OTC? I know they sell metrozinadol or something like that OTC now, and that’s the same thing my last doctor prescribed me.

Also, I am not having any symptoms right now, My UTI (if that’s what it is, but they believe it may be a kidney stone. FUN!) feels like it is gone. I have no itching. No burning. No wierd discharge. Same as last time I had one, which was about 2-3 years ago.
Well, I have an APPT in December. Would it be okay just to wait untill then to see my doctor, and while I wait go ahead and treat myself with OTC meds for BV?

home cures for BV (bacterial vaginosis)? HELP!?

Ok, so this is the 3rd time that I have had BV since May! We are trying to get pregnant, which I just ovulated on Wednesday. We have been having sex every other day since Monday. I noticed the symptoms (swelling, itchy and chunky cervical mucus) on Tuesday morning and it also feels like I’m cut open! I’ve been trying frozen yogurt suppositories, but the itching is still there!

What else can I do to relieve this misery! Also, can I go swimming?
TIA!

Where can I get a Vagisil Screening Kit?

I have a few symptoms associated with Bacterial
Vaginosis (BV) Infection and I wanted to try the vagisil kit so I can know if i need to visit a doctor. It would also be helpful to know the price range of the kit.
