I think I have Bacterial Vaginosis. I have fishy smelling, lumpy, cottage-cheese like discharge and it’s really annoying me. I don’t wanna go to the doctor because I heard they describe horrible antibiotics which don’t help and have awful side effects. Please dont advertise anything, just is there any home remedies for BV or over-the-counter medication I could buy? please? it’s kinda re-occuring and going away all the time.

Okay, Hey everyone. This is gross, and please, I’m already embarassed enough as it is, I’ve searched everywhere online. And I can’t find a single thing to help me. I have bacterial vaginosis, I’ve had it for a while now. Like 5 or maybe 4 months. I went to the doctor, and she gave me Flagyl, and I took it, for two weeks or so my problem was gone. But then it came back. And it was bearable, but lately it’s been terrible, I’m so embarassed, I feel like everyone can smell me. I need some fix to this, without going to a doctor! Because I’m not 18 yet and I don’t want my family to know, and I’ve already tried this doctor remedy. Please Help!!

ok well i had been having a really bad odor down there and i was sick of it so i went online and i did some research on bacterial vaginosis and i looked up home remedies. i saw alot on the apple cider vinegar and so about 30 minutes ago i soaked a tampon in the vinegar and stuck it up there for like 20 minutes i took it out and the odor is gone but i am kinda worried now because i am a few days late and ttc, is that going to affect anything if i am?should i be worried or can i calm down???i was so tired of that smell i had to do something!!!
i took a pee it didnt hurt or anything, i just wanted the smell to go away and it seemed to work i mean the home remedies say it is ok so is yogurt and folic acid pills. i didnt think anything or it, im more concerned about bieng prego, im really scared now

Are there any women out there who have tried this product that suffer from bacterial vaginosis? I’d like to give it a try but I’m a little skeptic due to all other remedies just not working for me.

So lately, I have been having bright yellowy liquidy sour smelling discharge. I have no STDs and I heard yeast infections do not cause a smell. For the past week, I have been trying to take some home remedies because no matter what, my BV seems to flare up right after my period. I have been taking folic acid, having hot tea with lemon in it to control the pH and have been eating plain yogurt all week.

The plain yogurt has made a difference. I definitely see a decrease in discharge and smell and the color is usually clear but I still get very minimal yellow discharge from time to time.

What are other things I can do? please do not refer me to the gyn. i already went there

Help! I have BV and even with antibiotic, it keeps reoccuring! I am so sick and tired of it and I need help! If any of you women have dealt with BV, can you please let me know about any natural remedies that you have tried?
I already bought 5 million acidophilus pills that i have been taking for 3 days but I think that i need to up the dosage to fight the BV
and I have been taking 800 mg of folic acid for 3 weeks but nothing is working.

i went in for a pap smear and got a call back saying i had bacterial vaginosis however i don’t have any symptoms what does this mean? they put in a prescription for antibiotics but i would like to know if there are any home remedies to help with it?

Has anyone had a vaginal infection during pregnancy? Ever since I went on the pill I’ve had yeast infections, but now that I’m pregnant, what comes out is yellow and in small globs. I don’t know if this is yeast or bacterial vaginosis or anything else. I’ve tried hydrogen peroxide but it will only go away for about 2 days then come back. I’m going to try some other at home remedies but I’m skeptical, and I DON’T want to take over the counter meds or antibiotics. Has anyone delivered a baby who had a yeast infection or bacterial vaginosis?
