What are some good natural BV remedies? I don’t like using antibiotics as I feel it is very bad for your body since it kills good bacteria as well as bad.
I’m open to any forms of remedy, whether it be tea, depositories, douches, supplements, whatever it is I want to hear it

I think I may have BV — I have heavier brownish discharge with an unpleasant odor — and I was wondering if there are any non-antibiotic cures. It might be a yeast infection, so I’ll try those remedies first, but I want to know other things to try too. I’m only 13, and I can NOT go to a gyno, I’d be mortified. I’m not overly shy about any vagina related things with myself, but other people? No freakin’ way. Sorry.
The heavy discharge is new, the unpleasant smell used to only occur after skipping showers but now it’s happening every day. I’m thinking it might be a sign of my period, which is irregular and due any day now, but I’m not positive. I’m a virgin, by the way. I tried switching soaps and that didn’t help. I used to get a burning when I washed down there, too.
The cures can be natural, store bought, home made, I don’t care. I just want advice. Please no ’see a doctor’ answers — as I said, I can’t! And no douching either, I want to solve the prob not cover it up. Thanks

i’m treating bacterial vaginosis right now. i’ve had it in the past and i checked to see if i still had my medication for it. i do but i only have 5 pills left and says to take them twice daily for seven days. but since i only have 5 of them left i want to space them out. do u think it’ll still work effectively? i know i should go to the doctor but it’s so embarrassing now. i’m thinking of going to another doctor. anyways i need some suggestions. also is there any OTC medicine i can take to treat this?? how about home remedies?? please help thanks.

last may i had this bacterial vaginosis again for the nth time and i read in the net that metronidazole can somewhat help me stop this…hoping. it says that i have to take the medicine, 500 mg 2 times a day for 7 days and so i did. i noticed that my scalp was smelly and i thought since our house was old, it may be bcoz of the water and same time the effect of medicine. my other side effect on negazole is i felt dizzy and sometimes i felt like something bumps me hard on my head for seconds, then it’s gone. after 7 days, the smell was still here until now. i changed my towels, comb and changed my pillowcase often. I am using nizoral shampoo for two days now and i duno after that i have slight fever. maybe it’s bcoz of some other things, but my concern is my smelly scalp. i am not sure if i have to shampoo this everyday too. i want to try remedies one by one. does anyone had the same problem?

I was diagnosed with HPV in April of this year. I have been in and out of the Gynecologist office for the last 6 months now and it’s really starting to get expensive and cut into my life and job. I currently do not have health insurance, so every lab, test, and time I go for a doctors visit, it’s out of my pocket. I have been with the same person now for a little over a year and I have been checked for Gonorrhea and Chlamydia, and I do not have either, nor did I ever. I am 21 years old and I have NEVER experienced this before.

In the beginning of May I went into the Gynecologist because I was having discomfort in my vaginal area, a discharge and an itching burning sensation. Before i went however, a few days prior, I bought over the counter Moistat because I’ve had a UTI before and after taking the Monistat it went away.

This time, my symptoms didn’t go away, and that’s why I went back to the doctor. She told me while doing my PAP test, that she could see that I had Bacterial Vaginosis, and prescribed Tindemax for me to take.

After a week my symptoms lessoned and seemed like they were gone, but slowly started to come back. I called the gynecologist and they said this was normal and very common and that the burning was probably from the test that i had last gotten. They told me from scraping my insides and taking samples, sometimes there will be a discharge that follows and it causes burning.

This time they prescribed a cream that I had to put on twice a day to dull the burning, but it only made it worse. After a week the symptoms were still there and i was still having discomfort.

A week later I called once again and I was prescribe ed the Tindamax again. At this point it may have been Bacterial Vaginosis coming back.

Throughout the entire summer I had symptoms on and off. I would have a burning sensation almost 24/7. Occasionally it would be itchy and irritated, and i’d have a very slight discharge.

One of my friends recommended ed that i try Diflucan (a medicine for yeast infections). She told me that my gynecologist may have mistaken my Bacterial Vaginosis for a yeast infection… which the more I read, the more common it is. Once again after taking the Diflucan pill, my symptoms seemed to go away for a few days. No burning, no discharge, and no itching. But as always, the following week they were ALL back again, and continued to come and go.
almost as almost as if it was hit or miss in the morning as to whether I’d be in discomfort that day or not.

It is now October and I recently went back to the Gynecologist because I just couldn’t handle having this burning sensation ANY longer! I told my doctor that this effectd my relationship with my boyfriend sexually, and emotionally. It has ruined so many events for me and it ruins my days because the constant burning feeling doesn’t curb or go away. I explained to my doctor that there is still slight irritation on my inner Labia, and there is a constant warm burning sensation.. (almost as if im wearing warming gel ALL day long)! I have tried doing all the home remedies for a yeast infection.. eating the natural yogurt, drinking a TON of cranberry juice, wearing plain cotton underwear, using different soaps..everything.

I do not want to return to my Gynecologist ever again. This last time that I went, she told me that if im STILL having these symptoms and I have already taken medications and prescription antibiotics and still having discomfort it could be a chronic pain, recommended anti depressants for me… I was so baffeld and upset that I couldnt stop crying because once again I have a burning sensation that will not go away, and slight irritation. When she saw how upset I got she said that this could be HPV or genital warts that are bothering and burning me and this makes NO sense. I have not had anything on me.

My boyfriend has never had a problem, no burning or itching for him. Just to give the overall jist of my symptoms, My vaginal area is always burning and always feels like constant heat.. as i’ve said before it feels like i have warming gel on. It doesn’t burn when I pee, just feels hot. I have a slight dthat’srge thats just a little thick when I wipe after going to the bathroom (a yellowish white) and I always seem to be (wet) down in that area. It’s not painful when I have sex, and this doesn’t cause any actual pain.. just discomfort. There is no smell or odor, and I only have itching when the burning gets bad. I always seem a bit irritated and slightly red.

If ANYONE can relate to this or give me any kind of information or anything at all. I am at a loss of what to do and this feeling is so annoying and taking over my life. Thanks so much.

I went to the doctor about 3 weeks ago and she told me i had bacterial vaginosis. She prescribed me Flagyl and I took it for 7 days. It worked for a week but now I think its back. I have the same discharge and there’s a slight fishy smell (however not as strong as it used to be) and itching . The itching is horrible! I even have 2 fissures down there and it stings to pee sometimes? What should i do for this?

I want to try the tampon dipped in yogurt home remedy? Has anyone tried this?!

PS: I probably will go to the doctor but I’ve done so much research on BV and many women just keep getting it no matter how many antibiotics they are prescribed.

Any advice for me?

Btw Im 17 and i’m not sexually active. I hate having this because it brings my self esteem down, its horrible and uncomfortable.

ive had bv (bacterial vaginosis) for about two years and i dont want to tell my mom because i dont want my dad to end up finding out, so please do not respond telling me to go see a doctor or tell my mom. At my house i have normal stuff, including teatree oil in case that might help. I cant just waltz into the store and buy a douche, so thats entirely out of the question. So are there any home remedies that i could do? Please help ASAP it is really annoying and smelly… and i am 12 years old, and this is NOT a sexually transmitted disease, its just an infection from bacteria unbalanced

Okay so I let this boy finger and and "eat" me then the next day I had a cottage cheese discharge coming out and it itched and burned ALOT I kept scratching for a few days and I swolled up so I took an otmeal bath btw I have eczema but then like at least 2 days later my mom got me vagasil wipes I thought I got rid of whatever I had because I never itched or burned anymore un til I ran out now it itches and burns and I’m scratching so much it’s turning red also the discharge thats coming out is only small and silky but I don’t know if it really smells or not. Can anyone tell me what I have and how to get rid of it with home remedies.
