I’ve decided to start some home remedies for my bacterial vaginosis as nothing else has worked. Is it okay to continue taking birth control pills while treating my bv or will this make it harder to get rid of? Also, has anyone with bacterial vaginosis used RepHresh to help them get rid of it? Would it be okay to use this as well?

The doctor prescribes antibiotics of course. But it only comes back and can also cause yeast infections. I’m tired of getting this. I figure I can save money and time by just doing it myself. If its gonna keep coming back anyway. I heard from someone that her doctor said put yogurt on a tampon because it works just as good as what he would prescribe. But idk. Only helpful answers please thank you!
I’ve had it twice before, I take the prescribed medicine correctly and until they’re all gone. It still comes back. I’ve been reading on this and alot of women seem to suffer with this. They tried lactobacillus acidophilus yogurt. orally and as a vaginal suppository as well as a vinegar douche. It seems to work for them. But I dont know there is a way to cure bv without antibiotics. Since the antibiotics work temporarily and cause yeast infections. There is no point in returning to the doctor repeatedly. Waste of time and money.

I need help!!! I have battled continuously with horrible BV for almost 6 years. I just don’t know what to do. I am so stressed and embarrassed. I have fishy odor and discharge (and it’s getting much worse after sex). I have taken antibiotics for the past 2 years, but it doesn’t help me…
Any one had any affective home remedies for Bacterial Vaginosis?
Please help me. Thank you all for your time

I have had bacterial vaginosis for over 4 months now and I have gone to my gyno three times. Two of the cream treatments gave me severe allergic reactions and one of the pills didn’t work. I apparently have a very small amount of bad bacteria but it just won’t go away and I can’t have sex and it is putting a huge strain on my relationship. I also apparently don’t have enough healthy bacteria either which is why I didn’t want to take my gyno’s 4th suggested treatment because apparently it is harsh (a seven day pill treatment-cant remember the name). I have been taking probiotics for a month and half now. Is there anything else I can do? I am desperate.

Does anyone know any effective natural, or at home remedies for BV?
I am only 13 and I refuse to use a prescription treatment from a doctor or anyone, I don’t want anything like that in my body, and it makes it worse anyway. Does tea tree oil work, and if so, how do I use it?
Also, how do I get rid of the fishy smell, because its absolutely disgusting.
Thank you!

I have read horror stories about the medications that they prescribe for BV and I don’t want to put myself through that. And I also read that they usually treat the symptoms and not the cure and it usually returns. Plus, if I don’t have to pay for a doctors visit and the medication, that is great too! Please help!
