I’ve been trying to do research on ways to treat and prevent BV and I keep coming across e-books for remedies to cure BV naturally within 3 days. I haven’t found any useful reviews because every site that I’ve been directed to just seems interested in pushing readers to buy the book. Is there anyone who knows a little more information on these e-books? I would like to read a REAL review.

I was told yogurt helps, and all the natural remedies help but they don’t heal the cause? I tried prescription medicine and it didn’t work.I read it can result from stress or lack of sleep. Please let me know your experience and how you cured it naturally.

What are some good natural BV remedies? I don’t like using antibiotics as I feel it is very bad for your body since it kills good bacteria as well as bad.
I’m open to any forms of remedy, whether it be tea, depositories, douches, supplements, whatever it is I want to hear it
Thank you very much for your help
Basically, unless my doctor tells me I have to, I’m not taking antibiotics, so if you answer "you have to take antibiotics" or the like, you’re totally wasting your time and my time, go find another question. I asked for NATURAL REMEDIES, not to tell me there are none.

Strong "fishy" odor, excessive brownish-clearish discharge, no pain/itching?
I’m a virgin and I’m 13, so it’s not an STI/D. It might just be an unpleasant warning sign of my period, which is due any day now (mine are irregular) but usually my discharge only changes immediately after my period.
What do you think? I’d really rather not go to a gyno. I’m fine with putting remedies down there, I’m a big girl, I can handle it. I just don’t really feel up to having some stranger feel around my cooch…not until college, anyways. (That was a joke.)
What’s the verdict?

I want to know if the home remedies really work before I try them. If they do, which one is the most effective?

So here’s a little background info. I am prone to yeast infections. I believe this is due to being on so many antibiotics throughout my life for acne. Now dont get me wrong I do not sleep around with a lot of people, but when I do have a new partner, I tend to get bladder infections. This time I think I have bv though due to a very strong, embarrassing almost fishy odor that is made worse with sex. New bf has been tested recently for stds and did not test positive for any. If it’s worth anyhing, I also use scented tampons. This may or may not have something to do with it. I do not douche. Well I can’t get into my gyno for a month so I decided to try some home remedies (h202 and tea tree oil douches, apple cider vinegar baths, probiotics, garlic) well I tried the yogurt tampon idea and when I pulled it out today(yes I smelled it to check For fishy odor gross I know) it smelled like urine..BAD. I only had it in for an hour and did not pee with the tampon in. Is there a reason for this? Could it be something other than bv? Any advice on how to get rid of this odor or treat bv or whatever else it could be would be greatly appreciated. I have to do something about this smell! Thanks guys.

I think I have a good idea of long term remedies. But I want the odor and discharge to clear up even quicker. I’m weary of an antibiotic, but I think I’m going to go ahead and try the antibiotic along with home remedies that will hopefully help restore any good bacteria that the medicine kills. I’ve been dealing with this for a month, seen my doctor twice, had to call them twice and I feel that my doctor is just dismissing me and not taking me serious enough. So I’m going to schedule an appointment with my OBGYN instead and take an antibiotic if that is what she recommends along with natural treatments. But in the meantime that neither of the offices have called me back, what can I do to get rid of the smell? It’s so embarrassing, I’ve never dealt with it this bad.

My husband and I have noticed lately that I with all the symptoms present that I have bacterial vaginosis. I have a girlfriend who treated hers with medication and it just would not go away. I want to know if there is someone out there who has experienced this problem and knows of natural remedies for bacterial vaginosis that can clear up my problem.
