My doctor gave me the pills and it made me sick, so I got the gel.
I guess I have some BV, and I’m supposed to use this gel for 5 days.
Are you not supposed to have sex while using it?
Because last night and today I had sex. I put the gel in around 2:00 and had
sex around 9 or 10. And I never put any in today but I did have sex once today.

And how well does this stuff work? I’ve been having some problems like burning
in the "hole" during sex, and she gave me this stuff. But while I was having sex yesterday
it still hurt?! Its only been the 2nd time I put it in.

Last question, how can you get bacterial Vaginosis and what causes it, and how can
you prevent it from happening again?

Please answer I have lots of questions I can’t ask my mom!

Yeah it was a total accident that I had sex. I never found anything on the directions. I wasn’t even planning on doing it for awhile, just my boyfriend came home from a trip. And should my boyfriend get checked out too? I asked him and he said, he hasn’t had anything wrong and he doesn’t need to.

about 6/7 week ago, i was in hospital with my appendix.had it taken out, but while i was in hospital i had an infection in my blood stream which was on antibiotics through a drip for 6 days, when i came home the doctor gave me another course of antibiotics orally.finished the course and then a week later i got another infection in my wound, so was given another course of antibiotics. then a week or two later i got another one in the same wound, so was given another course. took them all properly.. finished them about 2 week ago. and a week ago i started coming down with a cold and noticed some yellow stringy discharge in my knickers, it doesn’t smell, i dont get any itching.

i told my partner and he looked on the internet and said it could be that im coming on my period, could be pregnant, to do with a fever or chlamydia, i have done a pregancy test and its negative…

so today i have done some research my self….
-could be BV bacterial vaginosis
-chlamydia/ gonorrhea
-emotional stressors
-nutritional status
-pregnancy
-usage of medication

im not worried that it could be an STI, but i should go to the doctors. i have done a home test for chlamydia and gonorrhea yesterday which i should hear about my resuts in 2 weeks hopefully..
would like to hear people opinions on what it could be and i would be very greatful if anyone got back to me

k so im currently taking NIdaGel for Bacterial Vaginosis and they gave me metronidazole tablets to take oraly and i refused because i dont want the side effects such as diahrea, vomiting, dizziness and such… so i got the vaginal cream so i would not get those side effects.. so my doctor gave me NidaGel which i insert down there …. but when i got home iI checked on the internet for NidaGel side effect ..and it still sayed Dizziness, vomiting and so on….. i just really want to no if NidaGel cream has those side effects

Good evening! I am an 19-year-old female who for the past week has been dealing with frequent urination. Often the urination occurs within about an hour give or take from each other. I have not woken in the middle of the night to pee, although I sometimes wake up earlier than normal by about a half an hour or so due to urgency. I am not sexually active, and the only current issue is bacterial vaginosis, which is currently being treated with Flagyl antibiotics, and has cleared significantly. The urination was not present during the very severe parts of the infection. Any further information, please ask!

I recently just started to have sex with my boyfriend. At first we there were no discharge during sex nor my vagina smells fishy. But recently we have been having sex daily, there are a lot of white discharge and my vagina smells extremely bad before or even after sex and my vagina itches. Sometimes I think because of irritation while having sex and its healing or what not. What is the issue? Is it because I have sex a lot or i have bacterial vaginosis or yeast infection? It was on my left side, right where my left ovary would be, it was so bad that it woke me up, I dont have any bleeding or anything, but I’ve never felt this before.

I think I have Bacterial Vaginosis, would that cause such bad cramps?
I mean I just went to my OB/GYN last week for a checkup, and I have to urinate in a cup and everything, and I had a yeast infection about a month ago that she saw in my pee, it wasnt a bad one, and she didnt say anything about it on this last checkup, but I didnt know if that has to be tested a diff way or something?

I had a papsmear done about a month and a half ago. I was told that I had Bacterial Vaginosis. I knew that I had some type of infection because of the discharge I had been having. They gave me some antibiotics but they didn’t cure it. I was doing some research and read that ACIDOPHILUS can cure an infection. It said to insert it vaginally and it should cure it right away. For the past 2 days I have been burning up with a fever of 103. So I don’t know if it is related or not. I feel as though the infection may be getting worse so I need to get it cured asap. I am scared that if I don’t it can cause some serious problems. I wasn’t sure if I should try the ACIDOPHILUS pill or not. But I have to do something. Any advice will be much appreciated. Thanks!

I am 8 weeks 4 days pregnant and I have been experiencing a light yellow discharge. I’m not sure, but I think it started 4 days ago. I thought I may have had some yellow discharge starting about 3 weeks ago, but I never could really tell, but it used to be mostly clear, but now I am definitely having a yellowish discharge. No odor, no burning or pain. Is this normal? I called my doctors office and was told as long as I didn’t have burning or irritation, or odor it is normal. I am not completely convinced. I did have a pap smear just the day before this yellow discharge became obvious. I am guessing the results wre normal at that point since they didn’t contact me back about it. I am a nervous wreck with this pregancy. My last ended in miscarriage at 5 weeks. Also, I know bacterial vaginosis can cause miscarriage, yet they make you wait until you are in 2nd trimester before taking the medication for it. At this point am i increased chance for miscarriage if it is BV?

think it could be endometriosis. A little history here-I’m 36, I’ve had 2 c-sections, I had a tubal ligation during my last c-section 5 yrs. ago. I really haven’t had any problems up until 2 months ago except for a couple of bacterial vaginosis infections caused by using tampons. So I wait a month to get in to a OBGYN. He takes my symptoms, which are really heavy periods, and the painful sex and examines me. He seems to think I had an ovarian cyst which is now going away. When he pressed on my abdomen, it hurt really bad. He puts me on Yaz, the pill, and says that should help. He says to come back in 3 months, and if my problems are not gone, then they might start thinking endometriosis and laproscopy. Well, I’ve been on Yaz for 2 wks. now, the painful sex has not gone away, I’m still hopeful this will help. I know the pill is also supposed to help ovarian cysts from forming. Has anyone else experienced these same symptoms? It just seems like there is something else going on to. They tested me for venereal diseases, and it was negative. My pap test came back fine. Please help-does this happen in your mid-late 30’s?

I have been using scented body wash for years. However recently I was treated for bacterial vaginosis. It cleared up but like 2 weeks after my following period i smell a strong odor. Im not sexually active at the time. I dont wear tight clothes, some of my underwear are cotton.
