What if you have gone to the doctor 15 times. What if you have tried the meds over and over again? I suffer with reoccurring BV. I have tried everything. Here is what I have tried:
All known medications (flagyl & metrogel)
Changed my diet (no sugar, yeast)
Cotton underwear
No feminine products
No tampons (pads only)
No sex (two months)
No tight cloths
Wipe front to back
Use alcohol wipe after each bowel movement
Use dye & perfume free soaps & detergents.
The Results:
The meds have destroyed the lining of my stomach causing severe cramping (not related to periods). The doctor should warn women of this side effect.
I lost 20 lbs but still have bv. I am depressed and my husband thinks I’m not attracted to him.
What’s next? I saw on this site where someone used "uritract powder" I can not find this anywhere but I hope to find it and use it! Also, I read about using Tea Tree Essential Oil. I found this at GNC in the mall & I am going to use it. Ideas? Help!!!

Prior to us getting married he was very promisicous, I have never had such horrible experience with this infection which has taken weeks to clear, finally I’m starting to feel better. I don;t the cause of this horrible infection and I was taking birth control pills. However, I’m so freaked out that I am fearing having sex with him, and just had an argument with him and he told me he won;t have sex with me anymore due to how I’m feeling. I feel I got this cause of him.
I’m feel I won’t be able to have sex with hima nymore I;m just afraid of getting sick again. What should I do?

Its not a yeast infection but is it similar? Can I pass it to my husband and cause us to be passing it back and forth like a yeast infection? My doc gave me an antibiotic but I just want to know if I’m safe for my husband before the antibiotic is finished.
would it be dangerous to him?
by the way everyone, I know its not an std.

I know that vaginal discharge is normal and it should be lightly or no odor at all. And i also know that Bacterial vaginosis causes discharges to have a very heavy odor. I SOMETIMES get that but then it goes away, i was wondering if that is normal or not?? If you know then what is going on?? or should i really see a doctor.
Again, it only happens now and then for few days, not all the time
I’m not sexually active and have very good hygiene

After months of trying me and my husband finally got good news that we were having a baby. Everything was fine but a few high blood pressures anyway I was almost 10weeks pregnant when I had the miscarriage due to BV which I have had in the pass before I got pregnant is it common…. and My doc precibed some cream for it he usually gives me pills. Hears the thing me and my husband been having problems we’re we are not living together and he think I was not pregnant at all and I was two mos. I tried to get him to go to the doc with me to make sure everything was okay I invited him but yet he think I was lying, When I had the miscarriage he was not there and he blames me. My husband is a good man but we got married early we got married at 19 & 20 and we waited to have a baby cause we both wanted it.

I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis (bacteria infection that causes itching, burning in the vagina..etc..) about 3 weeks ago and was given metronidazole to get rid of it and I felt fine after taking it. I had sex with my boyfriend for the first time and we do not use condoms (I am on birth control) and he ejaculated in me. Now I’m itching again! Could this be because he has an infection too? We had sex when I was having symptoms 3 weeks ago but I didn’t think anything of it. Now i think he might have it too and were just giving it back to each other? What do you think?

I’m 31 weeks pregnant and I just got a call from my doctor’s office saying that I have BV and a yeast infection. This is my second time dealing with this during my pregnancy and it’s driving me crazy. It’s causing intimacy issues in my relationship as well. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do to ward off another bout with either one of these nasty infections? Anyone else gong through the same thing? Thanks!
