hi, a couple of months ago I started using this feminine deodorant and a little bit after that I went to the doctor because of BV… I didn’t think it had to do with it, but I stopped using it and I started using it again and I have noticed that I am getting the symptoms again… could it be related to this?

i only did it once in the middle of my period because my mom i could. so i just tried it. but after my period ive been having mild itching just a little.like on top of my vagina, or labia, or urethra, or sometimes the outside of my vagina. my discharge is like thick clear mucus with a cloudish whitish or really light gray color in in it..weird..so i dont really know…it could be yeast infection but that was my first time and i never even douched inside. wats even worse is that i can have bacterial vaginosis and yeast infection at the same time. im just a virgin but i do mastrubate if that helps? btw does mastrubating cause bacterial vaginosis?

Does anyone know if a bacterial (vaginal) infection can cause bladder discomfort? I’ve been having bladder spasms along with frequency and urgency the last few days. I doubt it’s a UTI, but I may get checked for one in the next few days. I was wondering if it was worth it to get checked for BV too, as I don’t know if BV can cause these symptoms. I’m occasionally feeling some minor cramping in the bladder area too.

I’m not having any other symptoms…just the bladder stuff.

I was checked for a UTI today, and it was negative. They refused to check me for BV or a YI, though, for some reason! It was ridiculous. Now I have to go see another doctor to get checked for those.

A month ago i had yeast infection, and then got my period and it seemed that it went away. i had intercourse with my bf, but it hurt really bad so we stopped. I thought that it was probably the yeast infection so i took monistat 7. Then we tried it again after i had finished with the treatment and it still hurt. I don’t itch anymore, and the only symptoms i have is painful intercourse and really watery discharge. what is this????

How do you find out if you have it? What kind of testing is involved? Can you have it for along time and not really know it? Will it go away on its own, or do you need antibiotics?

I went to my obgyn for my annual exam and also for infertility, and my pap showed I have bacterial vaginosis. What exactly is it, and is it serious? He did prescribe antibiotics, I was just curious how common this is and what the cause is, and if there are ways to prevent it from returning. Thanks ladies.

I’m alittle over 15 weeks pregnant and I have had BV (bacterial Vaginosis) a couple times during this pregnancy…I’m scared I had it for awhile before I was pregnant and didn’t know. Right now I am on flagyle for it and I’m pretty sure it’s gone…I take it twice a day for 7 days I’ll be done with it on Thursday. Anyways, I read alot of stuff saying Bacterial Vaginosis causes premature labor, and treating isn’t proven if it has an effect in stoping the premature labor…Well I was wondering for all you ladies who have Had this while pregnant, how are your babys? I was told that a Bacterial Vaginosis infection was caused by not having enough "Good" Bacteria to help fight off the "Bad" Bacteria, thus allowing infection to occur. My question is: I heard that eating the yogurt ACTIVIA, helped to regulate the bacteria? Is this true? All the commericials ever say is that it helpes regulate digestion, but makes no mention about any bacteria. Can you answer is ACTIVIA is good for regulating Good bacteria?

I have reoccuring issues with bacterial vaginosis. I have only been having sex with one man in the past 6 years. but we are not in a relationship and I know he’s had unprotected sex with others. When we were in a reltionship I had contracted HPV which gave me genital warts. thats was over 4 years ago. My body rid itself of the HPV. (After treating the HPV was unsuccessful, I was scheduled for laser surgery and the warts just started going away on their own). I have since been vaccinated for HPV. I recognize the symtoms of BV, as I said It something I get every few months or so. But I have found one singke bump in the vaginal opening. It itches. The warts, I recall, didn’t itch. Is it possible that the BV can cause a bump?

Does anyone know if bacterial vaginosis can contribute to and/or cause infertility?

Recently I went to the gynecologist because I have an infection. My boyfriend noticed today that when he uses the restroom, his penis touches the inside of the toilet seat, and toilet bowl even. I know the toilet is teaming with bacteria, and I’m wondering whether having sex with him moved that bacteria inside of me. Gross, right? I’m speechlessly disgusted. Please help me out. how long is it too long to wait because i went to the doctor and they gave me the metrocazinole gel thing but didnt go away fully, should i go back to the doctor? what other complications can come from it?
