Can men get Bacteria Vaginosis?

I have had a reoccurring BV infection for several months now. I’ve been to the doctor and nothing seems to cure it. It goes away with meds for about two days then comes right back. Is it possible that my boyfriend is reinfecting me?

Don’t listen to these people, men can host this and I know because I’ve had this exact annoying problem in the past.
I started getting BV in June ‘08. It seemed that the medication would work so I couldn’t figure out why I kept getting the infection. I started keeping track of when I would get symptoms and I realized that every time I had unprotected sex with my partner, the symptoms would show up the next day. So I tried to reduce the risk. I would shower after sex, try to wear condoms as much as I could and even bought waterworks douche to try and clean out my system after sex. After a year of frustration. My doctor finally treated my partner with a series of 4 pills and my misery was finally at ease.
He needs to be treated or you will have to deal with the problem.
men haven’t got vaginas so then can’t get it….em…
but they can infect you, he should have gotten a test to see if had a UTI when you found out, he probably has a bacterial infection, or had a throat infection..
No, men do not get bacterial vaginosis, so they do not need to be retreated. Are you sure you do not also have a yeast infection? Sometimes they share similar symptoms and men can get those.
Its possible that he has Viral Penisitis (VP) which is causing a re-occurance of you BV.
I’d abstain from sex for a few weeks to ensure the cycle is broken.
No because its VAGinosis, which means you only get it in vaginas!
