It might if left untreated. You can use some home remedies to get rid of it permanently.

Get tested for it and get it treated. BV is really common and most people don’t have any problems from it. A few people, like myself, can’t get rid of it and get PID, womb infections and abnormal vaginal bleeding. So get it sorted now and you needn’t worry about it. Also take an acidophilus such as Fem D as it helps balance the bacteria in the vagina.
If left untreated it MIGHT be able to lead to it over a long time. Usually it is just STIs that have gone untreated because these can scar the cervix. BV is just a change in pH and you need to have it treated cause it will not just go away on it’s own.
yes BV sure can cause infertility. if you don’t get an infection treated it can cause all sorts of problems. and since BV is in your lower region then its going to affect those parts. But seriously, i think you would have to have the infection many many times before it would start to effect anything. just treat it and you will be fine!
