Bacterial Vaginosis with no symptom = mild infection?

I was diagnosed with BV (Bacterial Vaginosis) at a pelvic exam, I have no symptoms other than slight yellow discharge. No smell, no itch, no pain, nothing.
Does this mean I have mild BV? I know 1/2 of people who has BV has no symptoms, does that means they have a mild case?

Hi, Bacterial vaginosis symptoms are not always the same for every women. Some women show very few symptoms, while in others it can be a lot worse. You do need to get this treated, because it can get worse, and also it can increase the chances of catching STD’s.
The reason why vaginosis happens is because the balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted. Meaning that you have more bad bacteria than good. You need to get the balance back to the way it was.
There are 2 ways that you can do this, firstly get something from your doctor. However there is no guarantee that the first medication that you get will work for you.
The second option is to go for a more natural cure, this is what a lot of women have started doing because let’s face it, BV can be embarrassing for a lot of women, and they want to get rid of it as quickly as possible, with the least amount of people knowing that they have it.

you’re lucky you caught it early. I am pregnant and didn’t have symptoms (no strange smell/color of discharge) either until I came down with a fever and developed bad abdominal pain (really dangerous for pregnancy). But yeah, probably mild..
