I was prescribed flagyl for bacterial vaginosis 3 days ago and started taking it…however, the symptoms are still present. I know there is no "at home remedy" but is there SOMETHING i can buy in the drug store to just ease the discomfort while it’s clearing up? I can’t take it anymore =(

never mind piling drugs on top of other drugs, if its a thrush infection caused by your medication then the best thing to make the itching go away is using natural unsweetened yoghurt down there. it sounds weird but its safe and it has natural bacteria that balance and will help get rid of any irritation.
Hydrocortisone cream.
Do not use yeast infection cream. This is the worst possible thing you can do. In the vagina, yeast and bacteria kill each other so that there is a balance of the two. By using yeast infection cream, you will be killing off the yeast that normally kills the bacteria, making your bacterial vaginosis worse. Yeast infection cream is designed for when your vagina has too much yeast and not enough bacteria. You have too much bacteria and not enough yeast.
Yea it took 2 rounds of flagyl, yeast infection cream, and almost 2 years of itching, burning, and irritation for the infection to go away.
BV is a tough thing to clear up, but keep taking your meds.
For the itching I suggest Vagisil cream.
I wouldn’t put hydrocortisone on it until you check the label and maybe ask your doc or a nurse. I would buy a cream especially made for vaginal use just to make sure it won’t throw your pH off even more than it already is. Probably buy one of those just for itch ones from monistat or whichever "feminine" company.
Flagyl usually takes about a week until you start noticing a difference. Flagyl is highly likely to cause you to get a yeast infection. BV normally doesnt cause itching, just a smelly discharge. So, if you start itching I suggest you call the same dr. that gave you flagyl give you something for a yeast infection. Good Luck and hope it clears up soon.
