Bacterial vaginosis question?
Is it possible for bacterial vaginosis to be in a persons system for a long period of time and even after treatments being attempted, it still remained. But is it possible for it to develop into Chlaymidia? My friend just got word from her doctor that while getting her pap for the BV that won’t go away, she now is positive for Chlaymidia. Her husband just came home from Iraq and she wasn’t with anyone else. He just got tested, and he was negative!! Is there any explanation to this? Please only serious answers! Keep the funny ones to yourself!! She is really distraught about this and her husband is also curious as to how this happened. They were both tested when they got married for STD’s and both were clean…aside from the BV.

I’d get a second opinion
I do know that chlaymidia can remain undected for a good long while – there aren’t necessarily any systems so it is entirely possible that the first test missed it. It’s also odd that if she has chlaymidia she hasn’t passed it on to her husband.
I had it before also. You can get chlaymidia from having a infection like that for a long time without getting it treated. Doctors won’t tell you that, they only tell you that it is sexually transmitted. Bacteria Vaginosis is common in all women, I get it alot, and if you don’t get it treated it could lead to something a little more serious. I hope your friend’s husband doesn’t think she have been cheating on him, please help him to understand that it common in most women to get chlaymidia that way.
I hope this helps..
No it it can’t turn into chlamydia. Sometimes it doesn’t show up in guys results everytime. Have her husband retested. I hate to say it, but if she hasn’t been with anyone else, then her husband has.
i think her husband has a right to be curious, and your friend needs to come clean. you must first be honest with yourself before you can begin to be honest with others. she knows where the chlaymidia came from.
Bacterial vaginosis cannot develop into chlamydia. Bacterial Vaginosis can come about from poor sexual hygene. BV can be an std. BV isn’t necessarily an std.
