Bacterial vaginosis? Herpes? PLEASE help!?
I am losing my mind and would appreciate ANY help
I have been experiencing a recurring vaginal irritation. It lasts for about a week, goes away, then returns 1-2 weeks later. My symptoms are redness all over my vulva, especially the outer labia. It looks inflamed and feels sore. It almost feels like a burning sensation. However, there are NO blisters or lesions, just redness. I have a somewhat grey discharge, but I haven’t noticed a strong odor or an increased amount of it.
My gyno does not believe it is herpes. She says herpes does not typically look or behave the way my symptoms do. I’m not fully convinced, but I did have a negative herpes blood test at 8 weeks since possible exposure. I have not had a blister to swab for a swab test, but she did swab the irritated area and that came back negative (could easily be a false negative though).
She did do a wet prep (tests for yeast infection, trich, and bacterial vaginosis) and I came back positive for bacterial vaginosis. She also said my vaginal pH was a little bit high. I just don’t know if BV could be causing all these symptoms, especially the burning feeling on my genital area. I took antibiotics but they did not help. I also am taking boric acid suppositories and probiotics. My symptoms haven’t improved after a week.
I have absolutely no idea what this is or what to do…and my doctor seems to just think it’s the BV. Any ideas?

As to your description, you ‘d better review a negative herpes blood test. Venereal disease like condyloma should also be considered. and mycoplasma. Dr. Lee is glad to answer your question. Good luckļ¼
Living with Herpes is really hard,? especially when you are a single. That could be the reason that why HerpesandDating.org is so popular and now has more than 600,000 members.
