bacterial vaginosis? about 2 weeks ago i went to the doc b/c i had some discharge & it had a very foul smell ?

to it & after sex the smell was very noticeable & embarrassing. the dr. said it was a bacterial infection or bacterial vaginosis. I had to take pills 4 seven days & it went away. She said it was not an std & males couldnt get it but now its back. Last night after me & my boyfriend had sex I smelled the odor again and it was very loud . Can someone please tell me why it came back and if there is some other treatment b/c i called the dr. this morning to make an appointment & they said they dont have an opening til january ?????

Wow, I thought I was the only one who was going through this. I kept getting the infection continuously after getting rid of it and even though they said that men don’t carry it, I felt like every time I slept with this one person, a day later the smell appeared. I had it about 3 or 4 times and I’m finally not noticing it at all. Call your doctor and ask if they can give you a refill on your prescription since they can’t see you.
Go to your local pharmacist they should be able to help you.
Try another doctor, All doctors can do the same thing…
Do you use strong soap down there…Alot of perfume in? Maybe thats why because that can cause infections , Just keep an eye on how you clean that area hun and make sure your not wearing underwear that is rubbing against it, also you might be using some kind of stuff on your cloths high in perfume? Or it could be ( im not saying this to be rude ) But maybe your boyfriend needs to be more clean down there on himself?Maybe he dont wash his bits enough, Because this can give women infections but he might wash everyday so i dont know hun Hope i helped babes:)

I’ve had this same problem for over two years, the normal medication would NOT work for me. I finally had enough and went to another doctor for a second opinion, she prescribed boric acid suppositories, so far so good! I’m so hoping it stays that way. The last two years have been hell!
My advice to you is try to get an appointment with another doctor and ask them for a prescription for boric acid suppositories. My doctor prescribed me 300mg once a night before bed for 14 days.
