Bacterial vaginosis?
For those of you out there who have had this, what were your symptoms? Right now, I’ve had one UTI for sure, and 2 that had all the symptoms of a UTI, but cultured negative for bacteria. It feels like I have a sore on one spot close to my vagina, but there’s no bumps or anything. It hurts during sex (sometimes–it’s better if I have a LOT of lube on, but I do not think the problem is the lube, since it was working fine before and we have not switched brands and there is no spermicide and the condoms haven’t changed either) and it also hurts to wipe after going to the bathroom. I had sex this morning and it didn’t hurt like it usually does (it might have been a little uncomfy at times where the sore is, but for the most part it was fine) but when I went to the bathroom afterwards, it BURNED on my vagina really bad when I peed. I was wondering–could I have bv?? Or what else could it be? I’m planning on going to the gyno soon, but I’d like to have an idea of what could be wrong.
I also sometimes itch pretty ferociously down there, but most of the time it’s normal.
Also, I don’t have any discharge.
I had a Pap test done in October and it was fine. I don’t have any raised up sores, it just feels like a sore when I have sex on one spot. Other than that, it’s fine on the inside of my vagina. The itching isn’t really around my vagina that much, and I haven’t itched for awhile, so the burning is not due to the itching.

The sore spot that you can’t feel with your fingers, the soreness that is only "uncomfy" but burns like hell when you pee, sounds like you are getting tiny tears to the inner skin. Use a mirror (the penis can cut like a knife if not careful) The friction during sex causes this type of abrasion and it is best to stay well lubed the Entire time, not just in the beginning, and be carful with speed. The intermittent itching could be anything from just being overly dry, pantyliner, yeast infection, or bacterial infection. Without discharge or odor symptoms it is unlikely that it is an infection, but not entirely impossible.
Don’t know what that could be but holding off on the sex might be a good idea.
But the scratching could be a reason why it burns when you pee.
When I have BV it have an extreme itch that never goes away. It is the worst itch I have ever felt in my life. I use Vagisil to help the itch. I never had a sore. That is definitely something else. But, with BV I have brown discharge and it doesn’t smell. I have herpes and what you have sounds like my first outbreak. When I had my first and only outbreak it hurt so bad I couldn’t even walk. You really need to call the gyno and tell them you might have an emergency. Don’t let this go on anymore.
Just make an appointment with your family doctor, NOW. This is not the place to be asking what it might be. And it’s not your job to diagnose yourself.
Yes, your family doctor. Most such conditions can be diagnosed and treated very easily by a family doctor. If your family doctor can’t, s/he’ll refer you to a GYN.
Your job is to present the evidence, and it’s then up to a doctor to be the detective.
sounds like chlamydia or herpes
