Hi, Bacterial vaginitis happens because the bad bacteria in the vagina over runs the good bacteria. The good news is that this is not that hard a condition to treat. It’s a question of restoring the balance between the good bacteria and bad bacteria.
A good way to do this is to mix in some apple cider vinegar into your bathwater and just sit in the bath a couple of times a day. The acidity in the vinegar helps to reduce the bad bacteria. You can also wash the vaginal area with the vinegar, but make sure you dilute it first.
Another good remedy is garlic. Garlic is a natural antibiotic and there are 2 ways to use it. One you can start eating more of it so it gets into your system. however your friends will probably start keeping their distance. The other way to use it is to place a clove of garlic in your vagina. I know this sounds gross, but if you do it before you go to sleep, it can work on the problem during the night. Just remove it in the morning.
Yogurt is also good for increasing the good bacteria. Just make sire that it is live natural yogurt. Eat it regularly. You can also apply it around the vaginal area.
Too be honest a lot of medications for this condition are not very effective for a lot of women. However there are lots of natural methods to get rid of bacterial vaginitis. You can get more information at the resource below. Hope this has been helpful.
ive had this before too, its very very common, first off if you have used antibiodicts but its not helping you need to consult your doctor…other than that keep the area as clean as possible with just water, adding soaps and things like that will make the problem worse! also make sure you dont have any other underlying problem to why it keeps returning or in your case wont go away, i would make an appt with my doc. good luck!
take a teaspoon of vinegar , add little lemon juice and dissolve in 1 litre of warm water.wash the vagina with above solution daily.no need for surgery.
bv is the imbalance of good and bad bacteria….more bad than good. ive had it many times and my dr said that most girls who either cant get rid of it or it keeps coming back, usually have a deficiency of vitamin d so i take 2 vitamin d tablets per day, along with a multi vitamin and i havent had the problem since. but if that doesnt work there is a pill u can buy at any pharmacy that is called Acidoflis or adcidophilis….i dont know how to spell it..lol but it helps regrow good bacteria,
I feel your pain, currently suffering from a yeast infection and bv. Go to http://www.earthclinic.com click on ailments and then bacterial vaginosis. There are very helpful natural home remedies listed there as well as recommendation from other women sufferers. Hope this helps! Getting a hysterectomy has nothing to do with bv because that’s not your vaginal area. There’s an imbalance in vaginal area.
These common epithelial cells coated with bacteria are found plentiful as the cause of bacterial vaginosis. Remember that this is an abundence of white and fishy smelling cells found mostly after having intercourse, but not to be confused with any type of candida (yeast) or trichanimosous either as these are not bacterial in nature. There are also several causes for this ladies, take note about these. 1) Thongs- Although seldom used allot anymore, these sexy undies can be the first cause due to the cloth rubbing so tightly on the anus and vagina. 2) Cases are most likely to be prone to females between the ages of 15 and 44 too, often after a new partner is found. Contact with condoms may provide some protection, and there is no risk spermicide increases any risk either. Although associated with sex, there is no clue’s that it’s sexually transmitted. 4) Virgins are likely to catch bacterial vaginosis too, they aren’t immune.
BV is a disordering of the chemical and biological balance of the normal flora of the vagina. Recent studies are showing the relationship between sexual partner treatment and eradication of current treatments. Pregnant woman and woman with sexually transmitted infections are especially at risk too. A relationship shows in woman after menopause also. A 2005 study done in Belgium showed that subclinical iron deficiency ( anemia ) was a strong predictor in pregnant woman too. Another, done in Feb.2006 printed in the American Journal of OB/GYN show one between psychosocial stress and BV. independent of other factors. Last, in prepubescent girls, shows a relationship between these girls and strep. or due by bacteria being introduced improperly by unhygienic wiping from the anus after a bowel movement. Please take a good look and see if and where you might fit in. Good luck and God Bless
