Are you more likely to get a yeast infection or a bacterial infection from being fingered?
My boyfriend fingered me (and I guess his hands weren’t very clean)and about 2 days later my vagina started getting itchy. I can definitely tell there’s something wrong, but I’m not sure if it’s a yeast infection or a bacterial infection. I looked up the different symptoms but just out of curiosity, would being fingered make me more prone to a yeast infection or a bacterial infection? (or is there no way to tell)

I agree that it is probably bacterial. However, I think I would be wondering where my boyfriends fingers were before me? It’s possible he passed something to you. I’m don’t mean to imply that that is what happened but I wouldn’t rule it out either. I would certainly go see my obgyn…
probably bacterial
I agree it’s probibly bacterial unless there was something sweet on his fingers.
I recommned seeing your gyn as soon as possible. Good luck.
Yuck. Anyways there are testing kits you can get at the store to see if its yeast or bacterial. If you have never had a vaginal infection you are supposed to go to the doctor. If its a yeast infection you can treat over the counter with monistat or something like that. If it is bacterial or you feel like you need to see a doc make a gyno appointment before it gets worse.
I don’t think you can get a yeast infection from a finger but either way you should get checked by your doctor just to be safe.
